As far as your discount on the A6, you are getting 10% off MSRP pre-rebates. That’s not bad, but I would push for at least 12%. Have you confirmed the MF, RV and incentives on Edmunds?
$499 for tint is ridiculous.
if I keep the Volvo on the deal the taxes will be almost a wash out, yes checked on edmuds and the are giving me more on residual (51 against 49) but they are changing more on the MG 0.00076 against 0.00046
You can still trade the Volvo in however you need to evaluate the deal on the A6 independently.
The RV is set by the bank and cannot be changed by the dealer. So if the dealer’s RV doesn’t match Edmunds, then one of them is wrong. Audi Care is residualized and will cause the RV to increase (usually 1%) so make sure you’re taking that into account. The dealer can mark up the MF though.
As mentioned, your 10% discount pre-incentive is good. However the dealer is marking up your MF and has $500 worth of tint BS as well as $700 in doc fees. That, coupled with your $600 in negative equity is pushing this deal to the “meh” side.
You may want to check if there are 2019 left. You may be able to buy it with 0 down with a lower payment than this using 6 year 0% financing, assuming those promos are still the same as last month. I don’t think there’s much diff between 2019 and 2020. You could prob get about $22K off MSRP on this car last month in the 2019 vintage.
Quick question: When you say that AudiCare is residualized, do you mean that the cost of audicare ($999) gets added to the residual value of the car by the residual percentage (so at 50% residual percentage, the residual would increase by $500)?
Or does the residual percentage just increase by 1%, which significantly offsets the cost of Audicare? Thanks for clarifying!
This . As stated earlier by one poster, the dealer cannot alter the RV. It is fixed by Audi. I usually recommend Audicare on a 36 month lease. It is worth it.
Depends on whether you’ll do the third service before 36 mos which is unlikely. 1st is covered by Audi, so the question is whether the 2nd service at 24 mos is worth the bump. How much does it add to your monthly payment? Sounds like at least $10-12 x 36 = $360+. Can always take your car for that service to an independent or a catch a dealer special for way less.
Nope I was very close to close a deal with another dealer for an A6 with more options and lower payments but then I made a mistake to go with a friend to a Porsche dealer and I come out with a Cayenne S, got what I think was a good deal.
