Are there any luxury EV deals left?

Based in GA

Turning in my R1S in a few weeks. Got a killer deal on that one at the time.

Have managed to get some pretty good deals over the years using math against the dealers. just can’t seem to get one at the moment.

Wanting a luxury EV or a hummer. Have my eyes on demos and new for 25/26 hummer 2x ev suv, 26 vistiq, 26 lyric but something nicely optioned. Not the basic models. Didn’t used to be this difficult :joy: (80-90k msrp for vistiq, 70-80 for lyric). Any other suggestions out there? Budget 1k per month zero down.
Considered ex90 but everyone is saying get a 26 my and I barely see those.

might consider a PHEV, with at least 30 real miles of electric range

Is it the killing of the tax credit that’s responsible mostly?

I’m sure there are a lot of opinions out there about why you’re feeling there aren’t as many luxury EV lease deals right now, but the main ones that I’ve been noticing are the following:

  1. With the Federal Reserve raising interest rates over the past couple of years, borrowing costs for lenders have increased, which means the money factors are higher than they previously were.
  2. Residual values aren’t rising as fast and with luxury manufacturers experiencing more depreciation pressure
  3. Luxury manufacturers seem to be dialing back incentives that were once part of the hackable lease picture

That all being said, there are still deals out there, but timing is everything…might just need to be patient and wait for a month where a few stars in the sky align.

Rivian offered me a 6 month extension on the lease, but i feel like thats a bit too long. I’ll ask them if they can do 3. I’m itching to try something new though! Beyond the obvious financial benefits of a well hacked lease, especially in luxury, i like to do it so i don’t have to be in one car too long.

Heck just got off the phone with a GMC dealer that was willing to give me $25k off on a new 2025 hummer ev, and when i asked about a lease they straight up lied and said they can’t do a lease anymore on 2025. I said, “yes, you can…” and he came back with “oh i hit something wrong on the computer…” but then said GM won’t allow then to do that discount on the lease, only if we finance it. more BS…

The search continues.

Yes.

Check the wording on the lease extension offer, more often than not they are month to month up to a certain number of months. Perhaps Chase is doing it differently though I’d be surprised.

Examples: BMW up to 2 months, month to month, Toyota up to 6, month to month.

Just closed on Vistiq Lux Premium just above $800/month 24/15k. Have a Vistiq Platinum that could get sub $1,000 for 24/15 with a little more work. If you’re interested I can PM the dealer details. @apache137

There’s a gravity lease for February you can look into.

Nice. Sent you a message.

I looked into it. Seemed really high to me at the time. Over $1k for the base trim. Is there a trick or negotiating with lucid at all? Hardly any negotiating with Rivian or Tesla, but I’m not familiar with lucid. Have only looked at their website and played with the configurator.

Sort of.

The market is returning to pricing based on supply and demand.

The tax credits drove MSRPs to unsustainable levels which weren’t market-supported (I have a “$67,000” Wagoneer S), and that was a terrible combination while general inflation was also completely out of control.

Aside from early adopters and true believers, this is a product most people still do not want. So manufacturing has slowed way down, and there’s no longer a glut of supply.

I have two EVs, so I’m not anti-EV. But most Americans are (or are at best neutral), especially when they aren’t being bribed to drive one.

If you OK with exterior look I think this week you can score nice deal from leftovers of 2025 higher trim Lyriq.

It is easy to get $600/m for Sport trim

Good luck

It should be month to month so even if you get a 6 months extension you can return it in 3 months.

I’m about to close on a Vistiq demo and there are a ton of demo listings out there that get you anywhere from 6-12k off (at least at many Texas dealerships, if you happen to be near here let me know and I’ll get you some good leads). Not all the advertised deals hold up when you actually negotiate but some do.

Most of the loaners are sport models in the $7500 off range, but I’ve seen a few premium luxury trims get 10-12k off.

All Texas dealers that I reached out, do not honor their announced discounts. I have a dealer in Houston advertising 12k off, and them added 7k in adds-onds, all other major dealer there with loaner do the same. Texas allow them to bait and switch like that, there is no regulations. I had better luck with MO/OH dealers.

Have you had success finding a Vistiq dealer in MO/OH that would ship to Texas? I saw that same deal in Houston and was surprised when they added 7K in add-ons. Sketchy

sent you a PM.

PM’ed you with some deals I was working last week before signing on mine.

To anyone who sent me a PM I replied but some of my sent messages weren’t showing so if you didn’t get a message please let me know!
