I needed a new car in MA, and wanted something nice with the lowest cost (to me cost is equal to monthly + down/lease term.
Have always had a Honda and just got one for my wife. However, Honda’s leases on accords, say a 32k car, which is not even top of the line is like 320/mo + 4k down for 36 moth, or like 450/mo total.
Because of rebates etc., I just got an Ioniq SEL, a 52k car for 320/mo and 0 down!
Now a family member in FL is looking. They wanted a Honda/Toyota/Mazda, but at least online, all of these roughly 30-35k cars are ~450/mo. Has anyone in FL looked and can tell me if there are ‘better’ deals available than on the websites, or are accords/camrys in such demand that they always get this. If so, are EVs still a good lease deal in FL, I know MA has a 3500 rebate which basically lowers the price about $50/mo, FL doesn’t have that.
Yes, if you qualify for conquest on a Acura or for half of the multiple stackable rebates on an Equinox. Maybe even an ID4 without qualifying for much.
Some brands just don’t lease very well. Not much gap between cost and retail to allow for large discounts, not much in rebates, etc etc = not good for leases.
If anything these brands are spending their marketing dollars on APR specials for financing.
