Project Titian v3.3
Maybe they will enter the space, and build/sell cars, but I don’t think that’s what they are up to.
I’m theorizing that project titan v3.3 would be Apple’s foray into the autonomous driving space but not in terms of physical hardware. There were rumors that Apple worked out a deal with Hyundai/Kia to build the “Apple Car” but I feel like that would devalue the brand since Korean cars still have a budget car connotation. What I think is far more likely is that Apple will mandate certain sensors/equipment on vehicles that an iPhone can plug into and use Apple maps as a foundation for self-driving technology like a more advanced CarPlay.
