Anyone leased GMC Sierra 2500?

Wondering how the lease would look for a new Sierra 2500 AT4? I know the 1500s can be had for pretty sweet deals at times, but I really love the ability and look of the 2500. The 6.6 V8 starts at $59k and can be well equipped for under $64k. Do these have aggressive rebates like the 1500s? Anyone have any input or experience? Thanks in advance

Heavy duty trucks equal garbage leases. I’ve personally never seen even a “decent” HD truck lease.

I think I saw that the residuals were pretty good, but the MF’s horrid

Edmunds doesn’t even have the programs lol

The 1500 with the 6.2 might be a good compromise, are you towing often and large trailers?

Yeah I tow, and I completely prefer the HD look over the 1500. Figured if you go with the gas HD you can possibly lease them. The diesel starts at 70k+, that’s a definite no.

Gotta pay to play with the HD stuff, no subsidies

I’m looking at sierras right now and at least in FL these things are selling before they even hit the lots. the 1500s really aren’t leasing great, I got a lease quote on an 83k Denali 2500 that’s less than anything I’ve gotten on so far on a 1500 denali or at4 and I’ve reached out to pretty much every dealer in FL. Residual on the 2500 denali is 70% for 36/12 so that helps. Only incentive available in my area is 1k Costco. Loyalty only applies to the 1500s

What are your payment quotes looking like?

36/12k with 2k DAS for all and including 7.5% tax. 83k Denali 2500 was $650. Lowest I got a 1500 at4 66k was $660 and 1500 denalis were all around 70k and over $700. Could be different in your area but there’s almost no inventory in stock here and most of the desirable in transit ones have deposits on them so there’s no need for the dealer to discount them. We also have $799 dealer fees at pretty much every dealer.

I’m looking to do a $62k-ish AT4 2500, so hoping the 20k msrp savings can get me an even better payment. I’m assuming the AT4 residual isn’t much worse the The Denali.

on the 1500s the at4 residual was 1% less than the denali so probably similar on the 2500. Edmunds has the numbers for the 2500s if you ask under the Sierra 1500 thread.

Unless that’s a typo, at first blush without seeing the numbers that sounds pretty good to me.

Yea, i’m going in tomorrow. they’re taking a little over 6k off msrp and 1k Costco rebate. They’re also taking my '18 Denali as trade in vs lease turn in so there’s a little equity from that, none of the other dealers were willing to do that

Do you know what bank they are using? And is this on a 2020 or 2021? See if you can get a breakdown of the deal in writing or via email to vet it before you do anything. My suspicion is that they are doing it through a third party bank using the GM Employee discount if you are getting that kind of money off of sticker price. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but you should know what you are getting into. Certain third party banks can be very stringent at turn in when it comes to wear and tear, but in situations where there are poor lease incentives from GM Financial it might be worth doing.

it’s a 2021. he sent that generic lease form that they all send over email so it doesn’t state what bank or MF but that seems like a solid discount since all the other dealers would just stop responding if I asked for any discount off msrp on the 1500s. might just be that since its still in transit they’re willing to discount it since it’ll be sold before it hits the lot and it’s also in an area where they probably don’t sell a lot of Denalis. Not real worried about the turn in, this would be the second truck in a row that I’ve been able to trade in vs turn in and the prices on a used diesel Denali HD are ridiculous
