Just came across this vehicle and found it to be very nice looking with some nice options at a decent price. I searched the forum and haven’t see any Leases shown yet. Just curious if anyone has taken a look at these yet. Thanks!
They are not out yet, but you can order one.
On Volvo site: $372/mo for a $43K build
Delivery of the new Volvo XC40 begins in Spring 2018. Your Volvo Concierge will be in touch with you within 1-2 business days to validate your order.
@urses oh ok. I saw the build option and thought they were out. I’m suprised they have leasing quotes before it came out. Didn’t think manufacturers typically showed lease deal until after the vehicle was out. Wonder when Infiniti will do theirs for the new QX50 suv.
The lease on the Volvo site didn’t seem too bad for what it was… That was about 4k down on the advertised numbers.
Does anyone know if it is possible to negotiate on those numbers already? Or how that would even work if you could?
Of course you can and should negotiate as usual. You should probably get close to invoice, but there won’t be any incentives in the beginning.
Good to know @Ursus. Thanks for the info!
Dealer gave me a first quote on this vehicle. It doesn’t matter much becuase no one has the car and it was only initial quote. However they gave me a $1440 discount on the first offer. I thought this would be decent info for anyone else looking for a starting point on this unreleased vehicle.
Thanks for the info, more will be coming in shortly i’m sure
Dealer told me any day now!
I called about the subscription service as the insurance cost would be about $400 a month for me if I got the same options as the momentum trim subscription service. If your insurance is high due to your age or location the subscription may be cheaper. The big issue is at least in NY I was quoted 2.5 months before a car would be delivered via the subscription service. The one upside is apparently no dealer fees ie acquisition fee. 2.5 months is a long time but I think that’s because the car is just launching and coming end of March or April Volvo stated at least for BY dealers.
I see 2 available now at my local dealer.
I’ll be curious to see how the insurance works with the subscription service. I don’t see how you avoid risk pooling across drivers of various ages and driving histories.
Oach! $400 a month just for insurance? Yeah subscription would be worth it for you!
Exactly Siejammy. 2020202020
I’m excited ursus. Really like this vehicle. Will probably be out of my price range since there will be no initial deals or incentives though. Sad face…
Residuals and MF for the Momentum and R Design below for 36/10 -
MOM: .00047 MF and 64% residual
RDES: .00007 MF and 62% residual
Great values right off the bat, the challenge will be near $0 incentives and thus achieving a discount on a hot new car.
North East: 15k miles. Add 4% for 7,500, 3% for 10k etc.

I wonder if there’s anyway to get a discount on the subscription service. Weather it be through A-plan, supplier, or 5-finger discount.
A 10% discount would be killer. Especially if you are in high insurance cost city/state.
Can someone please hack this subscription?
I think the hack would be to get a better monthly (using lease and insurance) vs. the $600 a month sub. I would venture to say the subscription price is not negotiable…
