Hi guys, long time lurker here. I have leased a couple times in the past- ram, bmw, Alfa. A couple where good deals, one was not. I need a new truck and I like the Nissan Titan XD sv midnight edition in diesel. I have talked to a couple dealers and they won’t budge below $790 which is insane. The msrp is 55k. There is about 4k in incentives, interest comes out to 4.2% even for tier 1 credit. Residuals is 55% right now. It seems like I should be able to get close to $550 sign and drive (in Florida). Does anyone know any Nissan dealership that are willing to deal.
If thats the interest rate you say by nmac then I doubt any dealer can get you the price your looking for. Maybe wait till after Summer or end of 3Q for better incentives and numbers from NMAC?
Doesn’t sound like it’ll line up. Low residual, mediocre lease incentives, and the final nail in the coffin, the high interest rate.
Some vehicles just aren’t destined to lease well.
Ram 1500 seems to be leasing well now. Do you need something more heavy duty than that?
90% of the time the 1500 is adequate for me. I do like the crew cab and 6.5ft bed is what drew me to the XD. I just turned in a 1500 ram lease that was nice but just wanted something different.
If you want something nice, have you considered the new F 150?
Not sure if the deals are still available, but back in November I was able to lease a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate for $595/mo, $0 down, including the 10.75% tax in my area. $64,2xx MSRP. I would search GM and for leftover 2017s.
Wow that sounds like a sweet deal How do you like it?
FWIW Car & Driver had this truck for long term test and reported numerous issues…
Truck is great. Had a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn edition prior and one thing I noticed initially is that there is less backseat room, Ford even has way more. That said it’s very comfortable, leather isn’t as soft as the RAM or Ford, but it doesn’t seem to wrinkle and crease so after 5 months, the seats look like new. The 6.2L is a beast of a motor and rated at a 5.8 sec 0-60 with virtually no wheel spin in 4wd Auto mode, it really moves from a stop. Overall, very refined and like it a lot.
To op, u really don’t want to risk your money on Titan xd diesel. Go to Titan forums u can read up on those owners stories. I almost brought one but I decided truck is meant to be reliable to help you get work done not punishing you by breaking down. I decided to go with 2017 f150 ecoboost 3.5 with 10 speed. Couldn’t be happier with the an aluminum truck that can back up your trailer at ease!
