Anyone hack a good EV lease recently?

Hi everyone,

I know the EV lease market has changed a lot, but I wanted to see if anyone has recently leased an Ioniq 5 or another EV and felt like they got a really great deal.

To give some context, about two years ago I did a 24-month / 12k miles-per-year one-pay lease on an Ioniq 5 SEL for a total of $7,700. I realize that kind of pricing is likely impossible to replicate in today’s market, but I’d love to hear what kind of deals people are actually getting out there lately.

If you’ve recently leased an EV and feel happy with your deal, please share your numbers and experience. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you work hard enough, you can get a Honda Prologue EX 2 wheel drive for reasonable prices. It took me a couple months but $0 drive off and $336 per month for 36 months including 7.75% tax and 15K miles per year. SoCal.

Car shopping tip: knowing the name of a dealer alone won’t get you there. People pay vastly different amounts for the same vehicle even from the same dealership. There are factors like inventory, sales targets, personnel considerations, etc., that vary with each deal.

The best strategy as always is to create a realistic but aggressive target offer, factoring in the incentives you qualify for and your local taxes/fees, and cast a wide net. Dealer X may agree to your offer in September, while only Dealer Y may agree to it in October.

Second the Prologue. In my area (Southeast), HFA is offering $7500 in lease cash and another $2500 in rebates. Interest rate is 0.02%. You should be able to get nearly 10% off MSRP, and I also had no problem negotiating off the $2000 in dealer add-ons. The only problem is that the RV sucks at ~50%. @RustyDaemon on this site has a YouTube video on “Best EV Lease Deals” for October '26 and the Prologue comes in at #1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYVhqm-27Ks

My problem with the Prologue EX was that it was very cheap looking inside, with lots of hard plastic surfaces and plasticky seat material, but you may be able to get past that. I ended up leasing a Cadillac OPTIC instead. My deal was only average, but here it is anyway for reference: SIGNED!: 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ Luxury AWD Courtesy (3006 miles) 24/10, One-pay $11,374

@BillD2 Thanks for the shoutout!

One heads-up for anyone looking at the Prologue: those were October numbers from the Southeast, and the programs expire on Nov 2.

Hopefully you’ll do the best ev monthly deal for november & december since I’ll be grounding mine soon and prefer to get another ev.

That’s the plan if the October one keeps doing well, so stay tuned.

picked up a 2026 tesla 3 premium rwd, around 2k das and 570 incl tax x 36 w 10k miles/yr. not a screaming deal but love the car and the fsd (paying 99 more per mo for fsd). we got it in september. now the new deliveries include a slightly larger screen…
