Does anyone here have experience with leasing 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T Plus EAWD?
I currently have an offer on the table from a dealer for $320 monthly pre-tax for a 27 months lease and 12k miles/year.
$2,300 DAS, which includes a $1,000 down payment & all the fees + upfront taxes.
Not the most sophisticated deal offer ever because he didn’t actually have the selling price, MF, RV and the incentives that were applied because he said the deal was put together by his leasing manager…
I didn’t bother too ask too many questions just yet, even thou I will ask for those before I move forward with anything.
But just overall, how does $320 monthly sound to someone who knows about how these normally lease?
Looking to also do a hack here in Florida. Haven’t seen any recent posts but a quick search found $300/month with $0 DAS about 1-2 months ago. I’d aim for this.
Sadly I don’t think that those deals are available nowadays.
I decided for a different car but if you really want to get a Hornet, the good thing is that they are not able to sell them so the sales people should do almost anything to get them off the lot.
I haven’t updated my post since posting, but eventually they offered me $300/month for 27 months and 15k miles with just about $2k DAS.
They get really crafty with their offer when you tell them that you are also looking at other vehicles or even better if you already have an offer on the table from a different dealer.
Thank you! I will specifically ask for 27months when getting a quote. Do you remember the final price to get to that $300? I am seeing R/T’s advertised for about $10k off so around $35k final price. In Florida, there is no cap to dealer fees and they average an additional $1k over other states so I will have to figure that in.
Sadly I don’t know any of the numbers as I mentioned in my initial post, which is pretty bad I have to admit…
They were basically just lowering the monthly and increasing my miles/year until I was going to sign lol.
But eventually I thought that in other to sign on a Hornet I’d need to be at around $250 and 15k miles/year because I had a competing offer for a vehicle that I wanted more and that I eventually signed on.
They got super close to my goal and wanted me to sign but I said I need some time to think it through and I eventually got a different vehicle.
Which model are you looking at ? I checked on Edmunds and it seems the MF for the GT’s on a 27 month is around 9% in September just awful. It seems like Stellantis doesn’t want to sell any of their cars right now.
I just looked it up here on the ratefindr app and it seems like the MF on this car is God awful at the moment, showing me 0.00551 MF for a term of 27 months 12k miles/year.
But on the 36 months 12k miles/year the MF is 0.00247, which is much better but still pretty high.
Seems the best MF is offered on the 24 months lease 12k miles/ year - 0.00217
I was only going off of what my sales guy was telling me, they were able to offer the lowest quote on the 27 months term, but that doesn’t seem to align with the real world numbers.
In that case they’d have to give you a pretty aggressive discount on the selling price in order to justify leasing a Hornet
You’d be at around $272 monthly if they went down to $38,000 cap. cost (including the $6,500 federal credit for EV/hybrids). This is assuming that the MSRP is $52,000 (this is where most R/T Plus EAWD are I think).
This includes you taking care of all the fees at signing along with the acquisition fee and upfront taxes, so that they’re not rolling those into your monthly payments
