Anybody ever sold to Inride?

Recently saw an ad for “Inride”, which advertises that if they can’t beat an offer then they will give you a check for $500. Anybody sold to them (or received a check?)

They offered in the $14s for my 2017 Impreza, when Algo/CarMax/Vroom were between $16k and $17k, so thinking of seeing what they say with a counteroffer.

Appears that “Inride” used to be a car subscription service in the DC area, and this car buying service has a DC area code, so maybe we’re seeing a startup-style pivot based on the current market.

As an update in case anyone is looking at this in the future…
After filing out the appraisal form on the Inride site, someone from Koons Mazda in Silver Spring (which is apparently affiliated with Inride, and near me) got in touch with me and I headed up to their dealership.

I showed them my Carmax offer for $17,000 and they said they could match it. I showed them the text on their website where they said they would beat (not match) any offer and they offered… $17,030.

I probably would have sold it to them at that point, but there was an additional wrinkle in that my dad was also on the title, and not able to be there in person. I already had him fill out and Fedex the Carmax POA forms, and didn’t want to go through that again for the sake of $30. So off to Carmax I went, and came home $17,000 richer.

Ultimately for me Inride ended up being a nothingburger, but might be worth looking at for some folks.

I love the beat any offer by 30$ …

Thanks for sharing, never heard of them.

Seems like their $$ is generating top dollar.
Going to try the process and report
