Anybody else pass on March 31 frenzy?

I’ll pretend this isn’t talking abt me

It’s all libelous slander

Damn people actually flag and submit reports to the mods like a bunch of narcs? Wild :joy::skull:

But back to the topic of the post- I passed. Primarily because I was on vacation in Bonaire until yesterday. But also because I’d like to see how all this plays out and make a decision on my own time rather than being rushed into something. If I end up paying more, I’ll own it.

We passed. Wife and I started looking at cars and running numbers around 2PM yesterday but after a couple of hours concluded we didn’t want to rush and can manage.

Kind of in a fluid situation right now with the EQS maintenance items coming up and my megacorp calling us back to the office 4-5 days a week. We’ll have to figure out something in the upcoming months though.

I don’t know who’s flagging but I know I’m definitely on the “flag” list lol.

Whatever, I didn’t partake in this because, I was too busy driving my 911.

And to be fair, unless you needed a car this quarter, i wouldn’t even bother. No one really knows what can happen with the tariffs. Yes, tariffs will push prices higher but we can be in a recession in 3 months and dealers might need to firesale lol.

But will they have enough cars for firesale?

I’ll join the line for the 911/mo 911

Probably? I mean we have 96 days of supply.

What a lot of people haven’t realized is that the economy can change quickly especially when going down. Look Mercedes and their GLS. We went from 30k over MSRP to 30% off lol

I’ve been in that line since 2020…

There will be flip flop on tariffs. If not tomorrow, then in a week or so. But if not, production cuts can be expected, I’d think.

So I looked it up, the CHEAPEST EVER 911 deal on LH was 1k a month back in 2017 LOLLLLLLLLLL

For the record, @HersheySweet was still in diapers at the time much less the LH guru that he is now…

believe the metal will keep rolling. this is not covid. nobody is willingly going to give up market share because once the crazy is over, they won’t be able to win the market share back.

I was just looking at the Hyundai and Nissan incentives pages which were updated this evening and they are definitely not as strong as March. I only know because I was in the market and debating between three-row SUVs to get. Ended up e-signing for a strong deal on a Pathfinder late Monday and picking up tomorrow. Turning the 4xe in within a few weeks.

Flagging should have tariffs applied.

More nanny state shenanigans for the delicate sensibilities.

If EU and Japan/Korea decide to fight, they may cut production of US market cars. What happens then? Buy American because there is nothing else available?

There is very little “American” in many “Buy American” autos. Parts, design, profits…

Right, should’ve put it in quotes.

Don’t get me wrong, as I am all for “Buy America” when I can.

Autos are a tough sell for this though no matter what you are looking for when your dollars need to be spent on reliable and quality transportation.
