Any upcoming deals that may rival the <$100/mo Cruze lease from last December?

Turn-in for the second car is coming up in about 3 weeks and so far I have seen jack in the <$100/mo range, and even pushing it up to <$150/mo looks pretty slim. I know the numbers are published monthly and there’s no way to predict what’s going to happen, but has anybody here heard rumblings of something in this price range that will have a push to clear out before year end? As of now everything is either long gone or there are no decent programs (Optima, Jetta, etc.).

I was able to snag one of those great deals on the Cruze last December and was hoping to at least be able to come close to it this year; <$150/mo (taxes included) with <$800 drive off is my max, but if I have to rent a car for all of November and wait until December I may just end up leasing in November at a slightly higher cost since it may balance out (depending on rental cost for the month).

The Jetta never really had a special program. They were just going cheap because the brand is hurting and there is likely a lot of manufacturer to dealer incentives. 2016 Jetta S for $150 should be doable still, although you’re right about it not being as crazy as the Cruze deal.

Yeah there is the jeep compass or patriot. With 1000 edmunds offer, they come to 100 a month, zero down

I like Renegade (designed by FIAT). It also has $1,000 Edmunds offer, I believe.

Quirk is known for their deceptive advertising practices. That’s a rainbow icecream pooping unicorn deal.

Nope. I leased one last month for exactly the advertised price from Quirk. No issues. In and out in 2 hours

Seems like you are a lucky one. They pulled every single bait and switch tactic with me when I was trying to help my cousin lease a Volt earlier this year.

That’s one thing I hate about the car business, so many variables that even the most ridiculous factor (e.g. sm or gm isn’t in a good mood that day, or they’re off and you have to deal with the guy/girl that’s covering) can mean the difference between spending 2 hours and having no gimmicks pulled or wasting 6 hours only to walk.

Not a big fan of the patriot or compass, but the renegade 4wd might be worth looking into. I was hoping to at least score something with some creature comforts such as bluetooth, xm radio, rear cam, etc. We know those base model advertisements happen pretty much all the time, but it’s nice when you can score a slightly upgraded car for the bucket-base price.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks, much appreciated! It would be nice to keep the discussion going, hopefully it helps somebody else out there.

That compass deal looks good, how would I go about getting that at another dealership?

Show it to them and ask them to match it lol. Don’t forget to get your $1k Edmunds certificate

Well I was ready to walk out if dealership pulled any shenanigans. maybe they saw that. Plus I was after a model that was not popular RAM 1500 Ecodiesel. So maybe they felt like they needed to give me rainbow icecream pooping unicorn deal or else no sale. Plus that was Quirk Jeep not Quirk Chevy. Maybe they are run by different GMs with different mindsets.

That easy without knowing price or anything? I only have a $750 certificate but still

Here you go Young Jedi. Good luck May the force …

You could call the dealer quoting online and ask - “How much do you charge to ship to my area?”. Then, take that to the other dealer and put the pressure on them with a delivered price to your door. If you get push-back, the talk track is, “I’m very close to leasing this vehicle, do you want to sell it to me instead?” Don’t forget you have all the leverage - they are selling a total commodity. And don’t let them add BS fees to inflate the price. You should be well under $150 including tax (and delivery, should it come to that). You’re in charge. Don’t take the deal until the numbers are good. They’ll give in, or take the business elsewhere.

Well, no luck Quirky only sells in MA won’t ship out of state, thanks though!

 Looks like they need to go through their stock and refresh all the terms for all stock

The reason I post these MA deals is not for you to move to MA and enjoy our wonderful winters or to ship cars from MA but to use these as a basis for negotiation with your own dealer.

what’s wrong with MA winters? I’m a jersey boy but never forgot the news of Mt. Neverest in '15
