Any tips or tricks with Audi FS?

Folks,
I am trying to take over an Audi Q5 lease, the seller initiated the transfer process on June 8th and I faxed the credit applications within hours. Audi FS confirmed with the seller that they received the application. It’s been 3 weeks now and they haven’t even ran my credit.
Reading all the forums suggest that Audi FS is slow, but 3 weeks for a simple credit check is bit too much. Do you guys have any tips to speed up this process?

Have you called AFS recently? They might be backed up with transfers. Given these times, not sure there are any tips or tricks we can offer.

Thanks for the quick response. Seller tried to call bunch of times and got different answer. one agent said 5-7 days, another said 4-5 weeks etc.

My tip: walk away from this sh!tshow.

I would love to. I really liked the car, but if something doesn’t happen soon then I will have to walk away. Feel bad for the buyer as he is in dire need to off load this car.

Update: Due to Covid, it took them 2 months. Today is when they officially registered the car under my name, now on to waiting for the title paperwork.

And the original lessee is still on the hook for the lease!!

That is correct. I couldn’t have done it as a seller, such a risky transaction if you end up with a “not so good” credit buyer.
