Just wondering if anyone knows of some bmw dealerships in Florida where they’ve gotten straightforward pricing and had a good experience. I emailed 4 so far and 3 refused to discuss numbers without coming in and the one that did insisted he had the most aggressive pricing anywhere with a 68k x5 “discounted” by 8k for only $960/month with a 2500 down payment lol. That was his “absolute best price”
@ktb153 Hey, I get my MIL’s cars at BMW of Sarasota. The GSM there sometimes does skinnny deals and is very straightforward.
The only issue is that they have a $1k doc fee, which I wouldn’t pay, but my MIL likes the convenience of getting the vehicle from a local dealer.
I’ve shopped the other dealers in the Tampa area, but none of them were straightforward or transparent.
PM me if you would like the Sarasota GSM’s contact info.
@AB26 is relatively new to this forum but seems to be a CA for a BMW dealership in S.FL. Maybe he can be of help?
Thanks, I’ll check them out. Around 1k doc fee seems pretty standard in FL unfortunately
i think that’s the max allowed in FL. You can always ask for extra $ off MSRP to offset.
yea I figured I’d just pay all the fees upfront but it’s definitely a negotiating point. I just moved here a few years ago so the only other car I’ve gotten here so far is an f150 and the xplan or whatever it was took off the dealer fee which was nice
I usually find something out of state and see if they can match it. They usually bark that there is time and expense to go get the car from say Atlanta. I retort the Atlanta dealership doesn’t have a $1000 dealer fee, which results in a sales person with a dumb face wondering what to do next.
I’ll contact some dealers in that area. If they have better prices that Florida dealers won’t match then taking a flight there with free miles and driving back a new bmw wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
Feel free to PM me what you are looking for. I can help you out.

If you don’t mind taking a quick trip to Atlanta try Adrian at Gwinnett BMW. He is upfront with his pricing. Also, Omar at the BMW dealer in Macon is very good, too. Also, if you join the BMW Club of America with a 3 year membership you are entitled to additional rebates. It used to be you had to be a member for a year before you can receive a rebate but they recently changed the program.

I just picked up an x3 m40i at Tom bush in Jacksonville. Last day of the month deal but overall a pretty good experience. My sales guy was Todd Thompson but I did all the negotiations with the sales manager Rob D’Augustinis via email. Doc fee was 699 I think - hate these floridia dealers and their crazy doc fees.
Good to know, I definitely don’t mind a trip to GA if I can’t find anything here. I think I saw that rebate can be combined with fleet too now so that’s a must.
By the time you account for travel expenses/fuel/time/or shipping, it’ll wash with difference in doc fee if you know how to negotiate properly.
Also you won’t have Florida lemon law protection if you get an out of state car.
The fees are stupid but at least it wasn’t 995 like most. The x3 m40 is nice I’m sure you’re enjoying that. I was looking for an x5 because of the size but i might have to take a look at that in person. That’s good he’ll do negotiations over email, also none of the dealers mentioned here are any of the 4 I contacted so far. I made my last lease payment but technically don’t need a car until the 1st week of august so maybe I’ll get a last day of the month deal too lol.
That’s true, I was thinking they might be more willing to deal because the ones I contacted so far were pretty bad but I have a good list here now and ab26 should be putting something together for me today. The atlanta thing wouldn’t be the worst because i travel a lot for work and get connections in atlanta all the time so it would really just be driving from there back to fl
I also went through Adrian Avila in GA. He got me an outstanding euro delivery price. Miami dealers either didn’t know what was a euro delivery or they would add a huge mark up to the car. These Miami luxury car dealers have been spoiled because most of their local prospects don’t negotiate.
