Any recent Tahoe / Suburban lease deals? Is it all futile?

,

Love the forum…

I’m in FL and no matter what dealer I speak to they are telling me an LT Tahoe 10-12k miles around $65K MSRP and GM supplier discount, can not be had for less than 950/Month, well qualified and with $8K down.

Can anyone get me some feedback on this experience?

Still pretty grim. My brother is looking to swap out his 21’ Tahoe and there are no real discounts to be found. That and skimpy rebates make these very expensive to lease.
The only deal to be had in this class is the Wagoneer.
I posted my deal (only because there were no others to reference) back in April.

It’s amazing. I for some reason despite looking at luxury cars recently, started to really like the Tahoe and was intrested. I’d even consider a sub 1k on an rst even tho the MSRP is 70k. I pumped the numbers into the calculator and the residual is 60% for 3 years and with gm discount (I don’t have) it sort of worked. But how anyone would lease this car. I’m tempted to buy it and hold for 5-6 years but the interior will date quickly I’m afraid. Can’t understand how a car like that leases horrible but the comparative truck leases so amazingly. Would love a deal on one

My Dad had been buying & leasing Tahoes since 2010 (He bought a 2010, then a 2011, leased a 2015, bought a 2018 Yukon, then just bought a '23 Tahoe RST). GM doesn’t need to subsidize these by leasing them out cheaply or even reasonably. This is a truck to definitely buy. Keep it in good shape and you will beat the 60% residual. The interior of the current body style is worlds better than its predecessors. It is modern and worthy of the Tahoe’s luxurious price tag. Everything works as it should. Wireless carplay hooks up instantly. The 360 degree camera is outstanding. The truck drives great and is very comfortable, even with the '22s. The 5.3 is more than adequate for daily driving. He doesn’t tow, so I can’t comment on that. It looks awesome too!

When a company has atrocious programs almost across the board it’s one or both of two things:

  1. They got burned on leases before and are not taking any MF/RV risk whatsoever. They want lessees to pay the price for that.

  2. They know there’s a group of buyers who simply can’t conceive of the tiny psychological “burden” of owning something and taking care of it. They’ll pay through the nose for the right to chuck the keys back every time; some of them will prepay for the right to trash it too.

Havent seen any gm employee lease deal on these in a while… Even the Escalade emploee lease “deal” is horrific right now (1350/mo +5k on a 36/10)
Just for shiggles and gits my 2016 was 650 and my 2019 was 750 (almost 100k sticker)

numero #2 - only moms drive them here in Dallas and they trash them. or the husband wasn’t allowed to get a truck :rofl:

and most of the wives drive at4s/denali/escalade as a status symbol - i never realized it till i saw it on tiktok

They don’t need to discount them as fleets gobble them up, and

this is a big market for those things as well. I’ve known people who wanted a sierra, but got a Tahoe because “what do you need a truck for” question.

No GM products are really leasable, IMO, but the quote you got is terrible. If you are talking about $8000 DAS, including tax, you should be around $700/mo, given supplier discount and $500 loyalty or conquest rebate.

With a one-pay, you can get it down another $75/mo.
The LT already has the best RV and MF given the trim options.

I appreciate the replies! Yeah I guess if you love this car you’re going to have to pay out the nose. I’m considering the Jeep Wagoneer as suggested by Mort. I definitely think all the police/ government and other fleet vehicles are GM’s bread and butter but theres Yukon etc. Hoping the inventory gets back there. In the meantime I’ll look at Jeep

What sort of deals are there on the wagoneer at the moment?
