Any hacks to getting discounts on charging at public fast chargers?

Isn’t EVgo’s fastest “fast charger” like 50kw? At least those that I’ve seen on my area…

I have no idea what the going rate is. Is it 500? What do you want for it?

Lucky you

Annnnnnddd that’s why I stay away from evgo. The L2 ones are pretty reliable though.

Out of curiosity what chargers in CA are decent?

EA and Evgo are decent, just hard to find a good one that is not mobbed by ‘free chargers’
Charge Point is very hit or miss and EV Gateway will make you cry before they let you charge.

My Local EVgo at Marriot Irvine is always swamped with Ariyas and Teslas (As it has NACS and CCS plugs) and Nissans get free EVGo

Can you point me to where I can look?

In SoCal… I think only EA and EVGo have 350kw DC chargers… but even 150kw is fast enough for most cars.

Today at my favorite charger. 1 bolt at a 350kwh at 93 trying to get to 100, (55 mins later), he leaves and ANOTHER bolt takes his spot, and plugs in…

Did I mention that the two 100kwh were empty? man that just sucks.

Anyone has any other hacks besides Bolt cards that seem a little suspicious to me?

Obligatory PSA to not get an EV unless you have charging at home or work.

In the latter scenario I would highly recommend considering an EV.

I have a charger at home but I am forced to use fast chargers sometimes… I wonder if there are any hacks…
