Hi, I joined this forum few weeks ago and learned a lot, thanks a lot to you all.
My first choice was Kia Stinger GT2’s, but the best price I’ve gotton so far is true 0 down, and 585 including taxes. I think it is extremely expensive for a 52k vehicle with about 7k cash rebate on it. I figured it was due to Kia’s extremely low RV (3 year 53%) and INSANELY HIGH MF (0.00210). They just want to re-coup their cash rebates from interest.
So, my next choice was Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible. The starting msrp is at around 45k according to their website. Haven’t received any quotes yet.
Any suggestions for my choices or any good/honest dealers in my area?
Stinger deal was not from a dealer, it was from one of brokers from this forum. Thanks to Jerry @Jpautobrokers. DTLA Kia wanted 2000 down and over 740 monthly payments. I just could not pursuade myself to get into Kia for that amount. Willing to spend even more on German cars, but Kia… hmm…
Well the broker than. Some cars just do not lease well or too new for any leasehacker deals. Doubt the mustang will lease better. I mean what pricing you even looking for?
Maybe a Challenger or Charger SRT? They had some deals here below 500. @nyclife and @Benedetto are two brokers here that seem heavily involved in the forum. Or search other brokers in the brokers section.
If you must lease, check out classifieds and swapalease for performance cars and find someone who either timed a great deal and/or put cash down on theirs.
For the Stinger and Mustang GT, depending on the RV/MF it might be better to buy.
Personally, I think Ford Mustang has far better design in/out than Dodge Challenger, Charger. I reached out to both of them for a different vehicle but will do again! Thanks!
I’ve owned 15 Fords (46 cars total - and not that old, lol. Leasing for a while was insane. 70%+ residuals, etc. but those days are gone. Most in the low 60’s - considered a good deal. But buy it right and you can make out well.
I have a Corp account with Galpin and purchased 5-6 from them. Unless you have a relationship, galpin can be good or bad in how they handle things.
The best imo - is Santa Monica Ford. They can trade for any vehicle to want if not on the lot with no fee. I was looking at a GT with the performance pack and other specifics. Only 2 in CA. Worrthjgton Ford was hiding one of the two in CA. Santa Monica reached in and grabbed it.
You’ll get the same or better deal at SM Ford than anywhere and it’s a relaxed environment.
Contact - Bob Kane - head manager and a great guy. Tell him Damon sent you and he’ll take care of you.
However, I don’t think Ford has any lease programs on the GT. Mostly the Eco etc.
