Just moved from FL to OR and it seems much tougher to find deals in this state. I do see W. Coast deals, primarily in California and occasionally in Washington, but rarely in Oregon. Also, Im trying to learn if OR is lumped in with any other states for National incentives, etc.
Im seeing some fantastic GLA/GLB loaner leases in California, are these deals applicable to Oregon too?
Thanks for your comments! Offhand, are you guys familiar what region Oregon technically falls into in terms of incentives? For example, I know that before moving out here I used to look for “southeast incentives” that applied to Florida.
Also, funny you should mention Mercedes, I see some amazing leases on LH for GLA and GLB right now and am indeed curious if these are available in Oregon region (I can also pick up a car in N. California and Washington).
It costs you nothing to put together a similar deal using LH calc, etc and make educated aggressive offers to dealers on live units they have and say you will buy today if they can match!
Depending on what brands you are shopping, there may be some better opportunities with specific dealers that work with non-captive lenders that offer better lease payments than the captives. Currently that is Honda, Toyota and Chevy. But the Pacific Northwest is historically a very captive-loyal group of dealers. The non-captives have a tough time breaking through in this market because the dealer behavior there isn’t as aggressive as other markets.
We have 2 credit unions that currently lease in Oregon, Rogue and SELCO. If you are interested, DM me a list of brands that you would consider and I’ll see if we have any of those brand’s dealers signed and which models we are currently targeting.
Im in the process of doing just that. Takes quite some time to create spreadsheets for all the different incentives, then figuring out qualifications, etc. Struggling a bit to find good deals for this region similar to other markets nearby, like California.
would literally consider any brand that gets me to the lowest monthly payment. The car is technically for my partner who’s a year 1 resident doctor and has zero time to do this deal hunting herself, so Im trying to help. She saw my $107/month (zero DAS) Hornet RT deal I got in April 2025 and has been a bit jealous since! lol. She did mention any hybrid or EV would be ideal just because gas is approaching $6/gallon here in OR (unreal!!)
EDIT: we looked at Prius, Civic hybrid and she liked both but couldnt get deal much under $375 with just 1st mo DAS.
You don’t need to find anything but the car you want and then make an educated/aggressive offer on it after running the numbers. Making educated offers means you control the process. You HAVE to be on point with your numbers tho.
Im just looking for any new or loaner car with the very best lease numbers in this region and Im trying to figure out which that might be without having to look up every single model from every brand. Im not picky at all as to which car I end up with, just want cheapest monthly for something new.
Did you look in here? Even if from surrounding state you can ask a local to match. Or get from another state and ship. Yep, you have to put the grunt work in!
Agreed. I live in California and have bought and leased cars in both Oregon and Washington. While there have been some deals to be had in both states, generally speaking you will do better in California in my experience.
Bay Area, Sacramento and LA have so many dealers that you can usually find a few that will do much better than others and better than what you will likely see in OR and WA.
im ready to put in the work, Im just brand new to this region and confused on which incentives apply to Oregon. Im beginning to understand that the Pacific Northwest Region for automaker incentives means Oregon, Washington & Idaho. I guess I can cross shop in those states but I rarely see any great deals from any of the three on LH or anywhere really.
Where do you look for the best deals and incentives for Oregon and Washington. I began by researching lease deals in California but quickly realized that those good deals include alot of CA state and city incentives, particularly for EV’s and Hybrids. Obviously, those wouldnt be of benefit to me here in OR.
I am from Oregon and joined LH last year and got two deals last year. Chevy blazer LT - $4500 one time pay for 24/12k and Cadillac vistiq - $800/month, $2k DAS for 36/10k.
Trick I followed, just saw signed deals and called bunch of dealers if they can replicate the numbers for the car I wanted. Luckily one dealer for Chevy and Cadillac replicated.
Also, I am trying to lease transfer my Cadillac in case if there is any interest. I made a past under private transfers.
