I live in northern nj, My childhood friend is the general manager of a bmw dealership, I printed out a recent deal on a 7 series electric, Can’t come close. I did buy an electric ix that matched the deals here, but most signed deals are impossible to replicate.
Care to share a link to the deal?
That’s quite a generalization. Are you referring to EV only deals or also deals on ICE vehicles?
FWIW, some posted broker deals are one-offs or end of the month/quarter specials.
If you’re batting 500 you’re doing pretty well.
Some deals are available to all, most deals can’t be replicated
It’s not personal, it’s just a fact
If the link you showed is in the same state, it’s usually duplicatable
Different state deals are harder because of State specific incentives like the NJ Chargeup.
If this were true, this site wouldn’t exist. Most deals can be replicated. Some cannot.
It’s probably more true that most people aren’t willing to put in the required effort to replicate. Rather than look for a dealer in the same situation as the posted deal (geography, dealer size, inventory levels, etc.), they just expect a local dealer to match the deal.
With all due respect, I dont agree with you
Is there anything constructive you want out of this thread or just a place to vent?
Yes it’s true that a lot of one-off deals cannot be replicated. Or may be replicated with a lot of effort.
I am being very honest and straight forward, I’m sorry if u have a problem with that
I am being constructive, why are you taking it personally
If you are trying to replicate a deal that includes certain incentives you do not qualify for (such as loyalty or other regional incentives), then even if you get the same discount off MSRP, your pre-tax monthly payment will not be the same.
Was it a broker deal? I did see one i7 deal last month for 13% off MSRP + buy rate MF + applicable rebates.
Is that dealership owned by the same dealer group as the posted deal? Are they aiming for the same overall volume incentives from BMW? Are they chasing the EV bonus incentives? Do they have the same number of EVs in stock as the posted deal? Does their dealer group have rules against going below certain margins on deals? Did you ask at the same time of the month as the posted deal? Is your friend’s compensation structure different that the GM of the posted deal? Just because your best friend can’t replicate the deal doesn’t mean the deal cannot be replicated.
I assure you I have been leasing cars for over 25 years, and their is no way for me to know all those answers, why do all of you take this personally, It’s business and accept the facts
All the brokers pitched in $3 for him to write this post. Part of our new marketing campaign
I find it amazing that all of you super/trusted are trying to intimidate me, all I do is fight in court all day (attorney), I am just stating my experience and what a trusted friend has relayed to me.
I found an i7 lease deal posted 5 days ago at 13% off MSRP. There were $12900 in rebates ($9900 lease cash + $3000 loyalty)
I’m not taking this personally. You’re making general statements (that most on this site know to be incorrect) that may wrongly influence others reading your posts. That’s a fact.
OP neither understands what “constructive” means nor can he stop himself from jumping to the conclusion that everyone disagreeing with him is “taking it personally”
Only OP’s opinions and conclusions are the “facts” allowed here.
NTM every “old man yelling at cloud” thread always just turns into a dumpster fire.
So I’m out.
It’s the New Year, I’m not surprised.
