To be fair, at least this will be easily charged, and I assume Honda’s know-how w/ EVs should avoid the packaging issues that come w/ hydrogen.
I actually imagine a BEV Mirai would be quite nice.
As a total outsider, I do think that it makes sense for car makes to cast a wide net and to team up (as Honda is doing/has done) for joint projects to further refine tech that might work better in other sectors/markets.
The massive turnoff for me, though, is the half yoke steering wheel! Has anyone ever used something like that? Does it basically “feel” like a regular steering wheel (in which case, I’d be a fan since every car I’ve had has had part of the instrument cluster cut off by the top half of the steering-wheel rim).
