Advice RE: buying a used car in hawaii

Gas is also expensive so fuel efficiency might be another consideration.

There’s actually a low mileage 2007 Sequoia close to me that is right in her budget. But it’s huge and gets abysmal gas mileage so there’s that.

If her budget is $15k, I should hope a 2007 Sequoia falls within it!

The prices of used Toyota SUV or trucks are pretty crazy. The 2007 I mentioned is a one owner Limited with 55K miles for $15K. The next listing is a 2008 with 164K miles for $20k. This is why we lease!

Holy cannoli! That’s nuts. Especially since 2007 is the first gen Sequoia. Low miles, sure, but wowzers.

You’re so right about leasing.

Right now regular unleaded gas is running about 29 cents less per gallon in Hawaii than California.

I dont know so I’ll ask, how much are similar models going for in the 48?
Toyota BOF SUVs, have a huge speculative market.

Plus does the 4R get that much better gas mileage then a 07 sequoia?

Maui has been getting insane amounts of rain the last couple weeks, More then they have seen in 25 years, people where ordered not to leave due to flash floods, If you buy there make sure its not a flood damaged car…

You might hit up the rental lots they have a lot of jeeps as that is very popular with tourist there.

Having a huge suv here is a huge pain in the ass. Parking sucks.
