Broken-out non-tax fees for the Wave:
I’m consolidating your two recent threads since they seem to be related and since there can often be helpful context in an earlier thread.
Thanks a lot. Love to hear your feedback on this ![]()
The median distance for my last 5 deals is probably 750 miles. Central Valley and Bay area are practically neighbors by comparison. Willingness to travel expands you opportunities immensely. You have the entire state of CA at your disposal, use it.
Sales people generally are stupid however.
100%. And they know close to nothing about leases. It’s embarrassing
I have no problem going anywhere in NorCal, but logistically can’t go to SoCal for the next couple months.
Have you checked the Marketplace to see if there are deals listed for a Kia Niro Wave?
Hi. Please text us at 949-775-1714.
To put this super politely and with a lot of love, you are a prime candidate to get taken advantage of. I can’t ship Kia up to NorCal but can get you a great deal on an ioniq. Read our reviews on Leasehackr & Google.
It’s a 1 way flight there and drive back. It’s a Saturday afternoon.
I’m not telling you how to live your life. Just saying that if you restrict yourself to a narrow geographic location, you miss out on deals. Or even easier, ship it. It’ll bee a few hundred dollars, maybe $1K worst case. But if you can save $100/mo on a 36 months lease, it’s obviously worth doing.
I don’t see anything even in 2026 when I use the “CA” and “Kia” tags.
Shipping is a possibility, for sure, but so far I haven’t seen any deals in SoCal on a Niro Wave better than the one I posted.
Oh, please do elaborate on me being a prime candidate to get taken advantage of.
There is a PND in Northern CA showing a 6% discount and no add-ons. You should be able to get this down to $330 a month. The Niro has such a low RV, you may be better off with an Ioniq or another brand.
If it’s the same PND I’m looking at, the capitalized monthly payment inc. tax is $355/mo in my city, and the one I’ve got above is at $341/mo inc. tax. And, I’m finding Hyundai dealers are giving as deep of a dealer discount as KIA is, so even though the Ioniq 5 RV is 55%, vs. 49% with the Niro EV, the monthly is still significantly higher. I know the Ioniq is more closely compared to the KIA EV6 than the Niro, but I only need this car for mostly around-town driving. I’m not looking for long distance commuter driving, so I’d rather have the lower payment.
However, if I’m still missing something, please let me know. I haven’t looked into any other brands besides Honda and Toyota (which are both barely discounted at all), so if you have any other brand suggestions for comparable vehicles leasing better than the Niro, I’m all ears. ![]()
If it doesn’t have to be an EV and you’re open to a 24-mo lease, I think loaner Mercedes GLAs, CLAs, and C-Classes are going for roughly what you’ve been quoted (for 7500 mi/yr, though, but I imagine the price bump to 10K miles/yr would not be a lot).
The deals are comparable for the Wind. Your deal has a higher discount but you give all that back with the $995 add-on. The PND was not including the extra CA rebate in its calculator. I am not sure you are going to find anything much better than what you have. If you can get rid of the add-on it would be even better. That is where the dealer is making his profit..
Folks - I know I have dialog regarding this vehicle in another thread, but I wanted to create this quick deal check chat, because unless you guys can find something I’m missing in this, I’m headed to the dealer this afternoon to sign for it, and I’m hoping to get a couple eyes on it ASAP.
From everything I can find, and in using AI to corroborate, this is rated an excellent deal. It’s a 2026 KIA Niro EV Wave (top trim). The only money I can see I’m putting down is first payment.
It’s a clean deal. Over $3,000 dealer discount, no money factor markup or dealer add-ons, and all available incentives.

This is about as good as you can get on a Niro EV Wave this month, IMO. A Niro EV Wind will be closer to $335/month and $0 drive-off with the same % discount – were there features in the Wave trim you must have?
Thanks for the feedback, Michael. Yes, I always prefer the top trim level, because I enjoy the interior features, like better quality seats that are both heated and ventilated, better stereo, parking & tech, digital key, etc.
