I’m currently based in NYC, and my lease is coming to an end. I’m looking for recommendations or insights on similarly sized trucks with a budget of around $900 or less per month and $3,000–$4,000 out of pocket. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I would say Wagoneer.
I was just looking at those! I haven’t done much research yet on those—do you have any examples of what they’ve been leasing for?
Looks like they lease so much worse than last year. But here you go. This is a broker listing from marketplace.
All from GC Auto
This is not a hackable segment. Arguably you made a mistake last time by leasing the expedition instead of buying it, and you’re going to repeat the same mistake.
Dont get a wagoneer or any chrysler product unless you want
Wagoneer will be the cheapest in this segment. Then the expedition. Then Tahoe. Unsure on where the yukon stands. Assuming the escalade will be the highest – although that is not always true
Expedition class right now is about $1200 with 3k down at 3% off. You are going to have get at least 10% off to even get close to that $900 with 3k number.
Maybe look into a Van?
+1 - Your best bet is to buy a Suburban. You won’t reach your payment goal initially, but if you go to get rid of it in 3 years you will come out ok.
Agreed. The best scenario on big SUVs is either buying a CPO $60-$65k OTD and selling in a few years, or getting a Wagoneer (which despite the constant lemon risk warnings, is a great truck).
What about a QX80? I think they’re still hackable…
