Man you got lucky. Got completely screwed by them for every tiny nick that no previous brand BMW, Acura, Mercedes cared about. They don’t even have specs like BMW ie a scratch or dent of X inches or a quarter. They expect a car with no wear or tear back. Glad it worked out for you.

Any reason to pass on MSDs?
Didn’t even think about it. I’ll see tomorrow. What do you think is more interesting when selling the lease though? 6 months from now when I’m done with this car and scratch the 4th rim, more compelling to sell/swap a 24m or a 36m lease?

I’m not sure what to make of MSDs… is an MSD = to a payment? What is their worth? And do I get them back if I sell the lease?
If you intend to transfer out be aware you need to collect MSD from the person who assumes the lease unless you intend to use as an incentive.
I assumed you were keeping to term.
MSDs are a pain when transferring because people are stupid and don’t understand the concept but to answer your question, they transfer to the new leasee so they’d have to pay you along with X cash down.
On this deal MSDs save around $50/mo and amount to 7x$650 in your case

So $4,550 lower the price by $50*36 = $1,800. So essentially, investing $4,550 to gain $1,800 over 3 years. It doesn’t look bad on paper, but it’s a bit too long term for me.
MSDs will definitely make it less swap a lease friendly. Especially since I’m going to guess you’re going to be asking for an upfront incentive regardless.
If you sell the vehicle you get the money back.
Just turned in a2019 X2 with 4 pretty badly scraped up wheels thanks to my daughter’s penchant for hitting things. BMW dealer that did the pre-turn in inspection said BMW does not charge for wheels that are scraped. No charge. Maybe an obviously bent wheel would be different, but cosmetic defects don’t seem to be an issue.
