Went back and forth with a few dealers in northern NJ, but happy with the deal I was able to get. Deposit is down and I am just waiting for the car to come in.
Was eligible for numerous rebates, including conquest, which brought it down a lot.
Curious to hear how people think I did. For me it was a cheap introduction to electric and I was willing to take the risk that it may not work for my family (although I plan to keep a gas vehicle alongside this).
And yes, I know that the sales slip says 24 months, but its actually 27.
Bill is awesome. I worked with him on my wife’s lease last year and reached out to him last week. I just closed a similar deal (he actually mentioned your deal, but not by name obviously) on an order that was cancelled.
Easiest thing to do is pick up a NACS adapter and charge at Tesla Superchargers. I just picked one up too and still own a Tesla. I have a wall connector at home and picked up an adapter for that. At home, i’m charging almost in-line with the Tesla speed at about 35mph. Only thing that sucks is you need 2 different adapters because the home charger uses AC and the superchargers use DC.
When you buy the ZDX, they give you 3 options for charging. A free home charger with 500 towards installation, a mobile wall plug-in charger and an EVGo credit of 300 I think, or nothing and 750 or so EVGo charging credit.
The only thing I’ll add is that the company they use for in-home installation is very expensive. Even with the $500 credit I was way better off going with a local installer. Do your homework there.
I’m fairly handy but not going to mess with the electrical panel myself. I am considering buying the 6/3 wire and breakers to get a labor only price though.
That could work if you can find someone. I had a friend do something similar. For myself, I’ve already installed breakers and circuits for both indoors and outdoors after doing a load calculation.
