Acura ZDX 2024 lease

Hi all,

I’ve been searching and haven’t found many results or “signed” examples yet…

Has anyone been getting good deals on the 2024 Acura ZDX leases? Acura manufacture is posting some confusion purchase options ranging from 0 down/ no payment for 3 months … to 319/359 a month with 5k down before tax on base trims. Nothing stellar.

Went into our local dealership and was quoted a fully loaded Type-S

  • 82.5k MSRP (including dealer add ons)
  • 73500 cap cost (discounted 9k)
    • 14500 Acura manufacturers incentives
  • 3k drive off (our tabs and licensing is 1100, so realistically about 1k down before tax)
  • 36 10/12 comes down to 890/930 a month (10.1% tax included)

Numbers look really poor but I’m seeing that Acura is setting the Residual at 41%, which seems really low and not sure if there’s much dealerships can do.

But at the same time many local dealers have 40-70+ 2024s sitting on the lot so they must be doing something?

Anyone is lucky to lease for a reasonable monthly and able to share the deal?

Thanks!

Dealers cannot change the residual value.

The lack of posted deals is probably an indication that the ZDX isn’t leasing particularly well.

The zdx has a large amount of dealer cash on it, so a strong deal would need to factor that in. You have a couple brokers on here with deals significantly cheaper than that because they have a lot more discount.

A type S in CA gets $7500 ev, $4k conquest, and then has $9150 in dealer cash on the back end. I dont know how theyre adding up to $14500 for you.

Also, $82.5k msrp is INSANE.

MSRP on a type s is $75450.

Did they check every single accessory box and do all the $500 black emblem add ons?

Yea it has all the add ons. I guess this is as high as it’ll get!
I believe the dealer discount/ cash + incentives are the same here vs in CA (they’re aware of the 7500 + 4000 conquest)
At this point perhaps it’s better to go next door and check out Cadillac Lyriq…?

True. Dealer was trying to convince me by telling me that. “You won’t get stuck because the equity”

41% residual make it about 33k after 3 years

Or just get a type s without all the add ons and a decent discount. Should be easy to take hundreds off this price.

If you are in the Chicago area, there is a suburban Acura dealership with a $249 lease deal on a ZDX ASpec for 24 months with 7500 miles/year and $4244 down (includes 1st.month payment and you can bump up to 10,000 miles for like $25 more per month…that’s incredibly good if you are ok with getting one of these Blazers, I mean ZDX’s as a stop gap until Acura comes out with a real 100% Acura electric SUV. I’m actually considering this since my 2015 TLX is starting to show it’s age

They may share the same platform, but drive the two back to back and there is no comparison.

I do understand that especially since the ZDX Type S is actually the SS version of the Blazer that is not available yet so it’s a much better and sportier drive than the current Blazer. I just wish Acura had done a better job with customizing the interior because it’s very non Acura…the steering wheel is the same exact one found in the Blazer…they should have at least added a special Type S steering wheel but we’ll have to wait for the 2nd gen ZDX to actually get a fully designed and built electric car by Acura. Heck even the Honda Prologue is exactly the same on the interior as the ZDX which is not a good look when we’re paying $25k more for a ZDX than a Prologue

Looks like it in pictures. Go sit in them both and see if you still feel that way. The layout is very similar in the screens/hvac but the materials are totally different. The higher end materials, general layout differences everywhere else besides the screen/hvac, way better seats, etc, make the interior a much nicer place to be.

Its not just the sportiness difference between the zdx and the blazer (or even the lyric). Its the significantly better suspension, vastly more comfortable seats, etc.

Blazer feels like youre sitting on a picnic bench seat and the suspension is riding on the bump stops relative to the zdx. It’s a shocking difference.

Honest question, is the car worth $450 a month?

Also, does this price include every conditional incentive (including military and graduate)?

Total payments: $5,976.00. Must finance through Acura Financial Services .

Tax, title, license, bank fees, and $358.03 dealer doc fee are extra. Offer assumes these paid at time of sale.

Lessee responsible for maintenance, repairs, excessive wear and tear, and $0.20/mile over 7500 miles/year. Early lease termination fee may apply.

Lease payment includes all available incentives, offers and contingent upon owning a vehicle and can prove registration of 2000 to present.

Option to purchase vehicle at lease end is $37,338.50. Offer cannot be combined with any other offers. Residential restrictions may apply. Available on in-stock units only. See dealer for complete details. Offer Expires: 01/02/2025.

Personally, I think $450 is a steal for an a spec awd. I’m happily paying more for my type s.

I don’t doubt that it’s a better manifestation of the platform than the Blazer EV, based on your contrasting comments between the two.

Problem is I look at both as value plays, and we paid less than half that for the Chevrolet.

If the Acura was a credible passion play, okay, but cars like this (or SUVs generally) just don’t make my thighs sweat.

So for me, in this segment, it’s go cheap or go home.

Makes sense, but I think the issue is that too often it is about cheap no matter what segment the car is in. On LHer this is true as well and includes when someone asks about one specific car they get a boatload full of suggestions of a different make and model altogether that usually is way cheaper.

I test drove an Ultium Blazer and it was not great inside, was uncomfortable and drove and felt like a older GM product but the exterior styling was excellent. Then drove the Prologue and it was better than the Blazer by leaps and bounds. The Lyriq and Type S we drove were far better than both the Blazer and the Prologue as far as the interior, comfortable seats, styling, features and everything else other than the “hearse stripe” on the Type S. :skull: :skull_and_crossbones: :ghost: :coffin: :headstone: :funeral_urn: :face_in_clouds:

Did I have to have a Lyriq, Type S or even an A Spec at that price point?

No and we did not pull the trigger although we shopped a Type S pretty hard.

Were they worth a higher payment than the Blazer or Prologue if I had to drive one all the time, was my only car, had kids, long commute or other reasons?

Without a doubt.

We are all for cheap but only when it works.

If you can get a Blazer for $250
Why not a ZDX for $500? It’s just another 100% more.
Or an X5 for $1,000? Just 100% more that that.
Or double that, and look at your options.

That’s the game that doesn’t make sense to me, especially on the lower end where choices are more often constrained by budgets than fueled by passion.

OTOH, I do understand how some vehicles won’t meet someone’s minimum threshold, which varies by person.

I thought that the Blazer would be below that line, but we were pleasantly surprised at the price point…

… but we couldn’t identify a price low enough to get us into a dreadful EV6 – or a rattly, squeaky Model Y.

It isn’t all about money.

If i was going for the budget play, I’d do a one pay on a rwd a spec, which is going to end up in the ~$350/mo effective range on an aggressive deal.

That’s interesting. I didn’t even bother looking at which wheels were powered on the 2WD ZDX after seeing the Prologue 2WD is FWD.

I don’t mind 2WD, I just don’t want a torquey FWD vehicle.

That’s 60% more than our Blazer EV.

The delta would cover our insurance, and leave ~$70 a month for something else.

This is how we look at budget/value plays, with some minimum expectation for the vehicle itself.

But tbh this is my spouse’s car, and I wouldn’t choose it for myself at any price.
