Acura TLX (FWD Tech) Lease in TX Question

Like a lot of people, I’m tempted sell my used car at the nice value they are selling for and get something new. I have a 2015 Acura TLX.

I’m interested in leasing a 2021 TLX FWD with the Tech package. I live in the DFW area and it seems like most dealers have plenty of that model in stock. Post pandemic I’m WFH all but 2 days a month, so would like go 36/12 or 36/10.

When the TLX came out, the word was they weren’t budging on price and didn’t lease well. It seems like even with the car shortage, the FWD Techs are in good supply. Most local dealerships have at least 3 dozen in stock (not listed in shared inventory).

Can anyone share if they lease well? If I can get into one for $400 a month, I’d be all over it. (Texas is a crap state in that you have to pay full tax on the sales price, not monthly lease payments.)

What kind of pre-incentive discount is required to get you to $400/mo with the current programs as they apply to you?

Outside of working with one of the TX based brokers here, I’ve leased multiple cars through Arthur D. with Goodson and he will be straight up with you on what they can do.

The only one I think I’d be eligible for is the Conquest/Loyalty offer. (Our other car besides the Acura I would be selling qualifies.). I think that’s $2500.

That didn’t answer my question.

Do the math. It’s pretty simple

Start plugging everything into the LH calculator beginning with MSRP.

Enter a selling price that’s around __% off MSRP based on searching LH forums and looking at the pre-incentive discount found in shared deals and Marketplace offers.

Enter RV, MF and incentives from Edmunds forums based on those for your zip.

Google the Acquisition fee for the brand if the calculator does not auto-fill it.

Google the DMV fees for your state and local tax rate if you don’t already know them.

Hit the green “Share” button and copy/paste the unique link here.

Based on the info I found, this is what I came up with. That would equate to a $470 payment. If I could get the cap cost down a bit more that could help. But it’s in range enough to seriously consider.
