Acura rdx tech+Acura watch 2017.. Deal or no deal

from edmunds:
mf = 0.00081 and 56% residual for 10k miles
$4000 in total incentives

so your deal is horrible; need much more of a discount from msrp

I personally don’t think so. Does this discount include incentives? If so, not enough of a discount off of the MSRP. The residual calculates to $24,171.62 @ 56.2%??
$24,056 @56%? Too much down at inception too. Have a deal on a Lexus NXT Sport $46,122 @ $469 taxes in with 12k Miles with $0 down at inception in Ohio. Nicer SUV in my opinion too. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tony, What is a good deal in your view? What discount from the MSRP?

Oh and in my calculation what I did not mention is tax is paid upfront;

so:

Lic: 728
acquisition: $595
documents : $75
Sales Tax: $1123
First payment: $429
Total out the door: $2950

limit drive-off to dmv, doc and 1st month; dmv seems high at 728 (see above doc)

with only an add’l 2000 reduction in sell price you are at 416/mo including the 6.5 tax

Msrp: $43010
Sell : $36000
MF:0.00081
Miles :10k
Residual: $24161
Lic+first payment +acquisition + documents + Sales tax = 549+397+595+75+919=$1954
Thanks for the table, I learnt that for MSRP 43K the corresponding fee is $549
Monthly payment :$397 (without tax)
Out the door : $1954
State : Minnesota ( I need to pay tax upfront as I understand it)

Does this make it a good/great deal?? That I can go for??

Thanks all of you who have responded, I sent this to the dealer as my offer, Is this good?? Or shall I look for more??

MSRP: $43,010
Miles: 10K
Lease Term: 36 months
Residual: 56% - $24,085.60
MF: 0.00081
Documentation fee: $75
Acquisition : $595 (Rolled in to the lease)
Lic/Reg: $517 ( I referred to the Minnesota 2017 Tax manual to arrive at this cost)
Sales tax: 6.5%

Monthly payment : $397
Drive-off: $1,922 (first month- $397+ doc fee $592 + Tax on lease $933)

first post: 2950 + 429 * 35 = 17965; LVR = 11.60 (not good)
last post: 1922 + 398 * 35 = 15817; LVR = 10.22 (acceptable)
diff = 2148

if you already sent it to the dealer, what did they respond?

They did not budge an inch…staying at $429…However, as I write this the manager has called me  lets see what is in store

Sorry, I am a total novice at leasing…What is LVR??

Thanks much Tony!!!

sorry, LVR = lease-to-value ratio. Lower is better; anything at or under 10 is very good
on this site, you will see guys refer to the 1% rule. Same thing; different calculation method.

How did you calculate the 10.22?? again appreciate your patience with me

From what I understand about the 1% rule, it just considers the MSRP…so 1% of 43010 is $430 and I am getting it at $429…It passes the 1% rule.
Not sure I understand what I am missing.

total lease cost divided by lease term (36) divided by the msrp * 1000
Note that state fees and taxes vary considerably so the 1% rule is very rough

So, Manager called and offered all weather mats!!! WTH!

Looks like at the current price it is a no go. Any final thoughts or advice?

Thanks

all weather mats? are they worth 2000 j/k

time to move on to another dealer or vehicle
how many rdx did they have on the lot?

seems like a deal

This was the last one on the lot with this combination for 2017 - Tech+Watch

should have said that up front; hard to get a great deal on the last remaining special item
i didn’t even factor in the “watch” thing, what is that?

It is Acura watch… Safety features like lane watch, automatic braking, adapting cruise control etc…

With all that is that still a terrible deal or just an okay deal

sorry but the original deal is not good if the lease cash of 4000 is included. they are only giving you 1000 off msrp on a 43k car. perhaps you need a second opinion from someone else on here…

Thanks again Tony, Where does it say there is lease cash of $4K is in the lease. Can you point me to that?

Thanks,

there’s 5023 discount in there (43010-37987); 4000 has to be part of that
