Congrats on your deal. And I’m okay with no one believing lol.
As someone that has caught lightning in the bottle before, I think this deal is very doable. It’s closer to 20% ($41,000) off before the $30,000 incentive. Many dealers are marking up the money factor and which dealer is going to admit that a deal like that is possible? And, a leftover 2017 should be 20% or more off before incentives. The dealers were greedy by including markups. Some DC area dealers are still doing them. Why should the buying public subsidize their screw up.
So you’re suggesting that on a 200k MSRP the price should be no more than 130k? Any possibility of connecting me with a dealer that will offer that price?
Yes, it was Jefferey’s dealer. I think you are confusing two different things. You challenged the possibility that one dealer would do such a deal. I gave you a plausible explanation why one dealer would do it. In response, you want another dealer to give you that deal. But finding a second dealer to do that deal does not prove or disprove Jefferey’s deal. Conversely, the dealers are going to tell you, “no way anyone would do that deal.” You, as a patient consumer, should continue waiting out the market. Acura overproduced this Honda. Ultimately, all it takes is one dealer to give you the deal that you want. Unless you have to have the car, you best leverage is waiting, which forces the manufacturer and dealership network to readjust.
Thank you for your reply. I am trying to get your humble opinion (which does not go unappreciated). Do you maintain that the deal I’ve been offered above is not a strong deal? I know your opinion is only one out of all the other responses here, but I would appreciate your opinion nonetheless. Compared to all of the other “virtual high fives” and “great lease deals” that I’ve seen posted for the NSX on this forum, Jeffrey’s deal appears to be in a world all its own. I have been unable to find a close second. It goes without saying that one person, somewhere, will be the “winner”, but being the winner by such a wide margin is, in my experience, a somewhat rare and unusual event. I say this because I am simply trying to gauge how likely or unlikely it would be to reproduce a similar deal.
Here’s my view. Your risk (generically speaking since it’s true of all manufacturers) is that the programs weaken after January 2. But that risk is also on Acura (for this particular car) because why would weaker programs move metal with a 2017 attached to it (unless there is more backend money made available to the dealer)? If you need to have the car, get it now if you believe your risk of losing the currently best available deal on the table for you is greater than the potentially improved deal (assuming your desired optioned car remains available) after January 3. I don’t think your deal is bad. And if I was shopping for it, I’d probably go for it. But I shop the deal, not the car.
Wholeheartedly agree with shop the deal, not the car. You know your finances. If $1365 for $176k msrp is the deal you desire, be happy and don’t look back.
you are right, but he posts his deal in the trophy garage, but for some reason the pic won’t load. That doesn’t prove or disprove his deal either, but it does make it smell.
Ya I still can’t get pics to upload. So I just put two pictures on Imgur.
A pic of the lease contract would be even better so I can ask my dealer to match Merry Christmas!
So nice I love the lines of it. Is there something off with that second pic? The car looks short or something
It’s just short I guess lol
Jefferey received an amazing deal. I pay $1,224 after tax with a $206k MSRP. I received $66k off. Mine was a demo with 900 miles, so that is why I received that deal.
Nice deal. So that means you either have Valencia or nouvelle. Which do you have?
I went with the Valencia.
Would love to see lease contract or deal worksheet for this deal as well. Not that I’m doubting you, but it would be super helpful for someone like me in trying to secure a similar deal.
The deal I’ve been offered is attached. This deal also includes a custom NSX car cover and it also includes me trading my 2018 TLX which they are calling a “wash” (the lease payoff via Acura financial is right around 43k, and trade value around 38k) so this deal effectively includes 5k of negative eq rolled in. True sign and drive

EDIT: for some reason it will not allow me to add the second picture showing the deal. Nor will allow me to delete this post.
Money factor? .0017?
I thought it was .0018? I will double check.
