Yes, but the EQS is far from their flagship SUV. That title belongs to the G wagen and Mercedes has yet to incentivize their 580 the way they did the EQS because the last thing they wanna do is tarnish the G’s image with the @Bumboola $599 special!
No amount of discount makes the lease payment palatable on these trims.
MotorTrend suv of the year. When you drive an IQ you unfortunately realize it will never be a sub 1k vehicle. It’s just too nice/checks every box.
If I recall, the Lucid Air was car of the year too and look how that turned out. Stay optimistic!
I know it means nothing lol
The MF on the 2025MY sport 1 and lux 1 trims is now 0.0005. The resid isn’t propped up $7,500. But to offset you’ll find a big stack of loaner incentive, select aged inventory $5k, GM Supplier remains $2k, there’s $1,250 Costco, and GM rewards card sign up is $500 that you can use on the DAS.
All-in, it’s not a terrible lease. Way cheaper than a G580… but not going to be sub $1k.
Can you advise on expected lease numbers? 25k one pay is possible?
The relevant inputs are just above, plug them into the LH calculator and you can see exactly what the numbers will be.
Seems like mostly a wash from a couple month ago. Still need a loaner, all incentives, one pay and double digit dealer discount to get to something decent. Which is doable with some effort.
Oct and Nov didn’t have the super low money factor, so it wasn’t possible to match a September deal until this month.
October had the dealer coupons to boost the residual. If you got one October was actually a better month than September
I don’t think anyone on LH got a dealer to stack enough coupons to match the old $7,500 subvention on a Escalade IQ though… the dealers never approached the theoretical savings.
This month it’s basically a possible slam dunk taking a list deal with minimal haggling (at least in California, where pricing disclosures and rebates are actually enforceable due to the state equivalent of the FTC’s CARS rule).
I don’t see this in Ratefindr nor on Caddys shopper tool. How are they showing a $20k line item? Or is that the actual $2k CTS rebate plus discount?
Sorry I was slamming a bunch of dealer-contribution, rebates, and junk into what I was calling a loaner incentive.
You’re right, there could be a $2k CTA in the system for a Escalade IQ VIN, but these are region specific. CTA in Michigan may not be available on a CTA in California.
Similarly, each dealer has trunk-money vouchers and factory to dealer stuff they can pile on.
And dealers know they have to discount loaners with dealer contribution to move them.
The 3 above things jammed together has been ~$20k on 2025 close-out-loaner units in NorCal.
The dealer coupon for October got the residual back up to what it was in September and October had high base rebates.
I tried a few zip codes and it seems to be the same, at least for the shopping tool. The courtesy cars so flag for $5k total in lease cash allowance + another random $250 . They don’t show anything specifically as a CTA though whereas when I used the tool for my Silverado, the CTA was noted as a distinct rebate.
Bit confusing but from Caddys site, it would be $5250 in “lease cash”, $1250 Costco Exec, $2000 Supplier and the $500 GM card sign up. So, $9k all in…but if there was an additional $2k for the CTA, now we’re cooking a little bit. At $9k with my tax rate I would need a 19% discount to be sub $1k ![]()
I tried to get someone into an IQ in November and no dealer near me would use the Voucher the way you said. All they were getting was an additional $2k discount. The resid remained pretty low in the quoted payments.
October was the month not November. It was vin specific and even high volume dealerships had like 4. They expired at the end of October. So required some insight/luck. Anyways my view is anything below a 30k one pay is a great deal on these and that is what folks should be targeting.
Yeah, same dealer was only doing $10k dealer contribution in October on this particular VIN. Bumping up to $20k dealer contribution with a separate select inventory $5k from GM (and all the other customer rebates) is massive.
Anyway, the guy ended up getting an ICE Yukon. We need to get @z0lt3c fully back on the ICE bandwagon next.
