About to ink the deal on a 2024 4xe rubicon, does it look good?

About to ink the deal - anyone have any thoughts or see any issues with this lease. Note I do plan to buy this out asap. Leasing to get the 13k in rebates

Very strong discount. What’s the incentive stack?

Acquisition fee is wrong for SFS. Which bank is this through?

Dealer fees and gov fees are way wrong for a norcal deal.

incentive stack is here. 2024 Jeep® Wrangler 4xe Deals and Incentives | Find Offers Near You

I qualify for all but the $1500 one, so im getting 13K instead of 14,500. acquisition should be 595 but they aren’t budging on the 695 price. Yes gov fees look wrong because I put the VLF portion as taxed and the rest as untaxed. They mentioned this is how SFS does it and that is the way the calc matched the lease contract

comes out to 23K off of MSRP

SFS acq fee for 36 month Rubicon leases right now is $995, not $595. If they’re charging you $695, you’re getting money off, not more. $695 is typical of a USBank. I would make damn sure they’re not doing a USBank lease and getting to that discount percent by burying the IDL cash in it.

I asked about the incentives for the breakdown of what you were getting because you’re missing out on the $1000 TDM. Next time, just list them out. Much easier than asking people trying to help you to dive into the jeep site, adjust zip codes to get your regional incentives, and decode what you may or may not qualify for.

Thanks. sorry this is all new to me, unfortunately after weeks I can not get a TDM code. I Have a printed lease agreement from SFS. Im sorry I dont know what IDL is

Maybe this will help. Note this is from the 10.5% discount in earlier negotiations. Now I’m at 14.9%. MSRP is $66935

Either way does this look right? Should be a zero drive off but they are taking $$$ out of the 13k in rebates reducing the capital cost reduction. Also why is box5 so high compared to box 3b. It’s so confusing and I appreciate the help

It’s perfectly reasonable and expected for them to be paying driveoffs out of the rebate if youre doing $0 due at sale. It can’t all go to reducing the capitalized cost.

Box 5 is high because it includes the rebates.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Last question with this contract what would be the buy out price if I decided to buy out right after the first payment. I’m a cash buyer but only wanted to lease to get the 13k in rebated. Will the buy price be msrp less dealer discount less 13k rebates essentially 20k off msrp plus taxes etc?

A little over $50k plus applicable taxes

Why do you want to own this vehicle? A 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 4xe that probably had an MSRP of $60K+ is now worth about half of that. They depreciate very quickly. You will pay about $50K in cash for a vehicle that will be worth much less than that as soon as you buy it.

The problem with the lease is the high money factor. Over $11K in rent charge over 3 years is simply crazy. Maybe buy a used, low mileage 2023 for $35K is a better approach?

Well i was thinking if I immediately bought out the lease i would be paying 23K off of MSRP $43995 (the new deal is 10K dealer discount, the above I posted was the first offer of a 7k dealer discount)plus taxes and fees and only 1 month rent charge etc which I was thinking would be a great deal for the jeep.

Do you have any weird sales tax implications by buying the lease so quickly after acquisition? I don’t know how CA applies sales tax to leased vehicles but in TX I would pay tax on the full sales price of the vehicle at delivery then pay sales tax on the amount of the lease buyout. I know CA doesn’t tax leased vehicle that way but just wanted to throw that out there. Sometimes buying out a lease costs you more in taxes. Just check before you proceed.

From my research here ca tax is simple and I won’t be overcharged. But if anyone knows from exp let me know

CA is super easy with the tax here. Tax will be paid on the incentives/appropriate fees and first month payment upfront and then tax will be paid on the buyout amount. No weird double taxation issues.

Sounds good…I just wanted to throw that out there so that there are no surprises.
