GM threatens predatory dealers with order cancellations, non-transferrable warranties (msn.com)
For all the flippers out there, this could be a problem. If GM enforces the non-transferrable warranty someone buying a flipped car would be forfeiting a warranty. Part of me says they’re already prepared to pay because they’re buying a car someone flipped, meaning they could potentially find it for a lesser price and they don’t care. Part of me says I would never buy a 70-100k car without a warranty.
I suppose that the option is to certify the car, if GM allows it. Alternatively, there are always third-party warranties. Perhaps it is nothing that kills a deal, but it may make things more difficult. We will see how this plays out and if other brands act similarly
