A month later, dealer is calling me back saying lease wasn't approved due to wrong residual, what are my options? NV

Signed contract on a bz4x, deal was 300/month $3k down. 3yr lease-10k/miles a year. Signed on August 30th, ended up buying gap and it ended up being $315/month.
Dealership called me the following week saying I needed to recontract because Toyota financial said I was unable to purchase gap due to value of the car. Recontracted on October 4th for original price of $300/month - $3k down.
Now they’re calling me saying they got the residual wrong and I need an additional $900 down to stay at the same payment or have it changed to $330/month. I’ve already registered my car and received customized plates. It was their mistake, shouldn’t they eat up the cost? What are my options here ? Purchased in the state of Nevada.

It took them over a month to supposedly realize that the contract would not fund…? Then we have to fix the mistakes a second time around? At minimum I’m not eating the full $900 considering this circus is still taking place. We all make mistakes, but a second revisit s a bit ridiculous.

Lets start by posting your deal sheets with personal information redacted.

Something like this happened to me when a month later, I got a call saying “Your deal wasn’t approved”, we need the car back or you need a co-signer. I will be docked all miles I put on and modifications I put on the car will be docked to make it back to OEM (Lowering springs, Wheels, tints, etc). I called BMWFS directly and they said “No everything looks good on our end”. Apparently, I got another BMW a few weeks prior and threw up red flags. I ended up keeping the car with no extra money down or needing a co-signer. Maybe the dealer ate the bumped MF.

Sales guy was an asshole but the GSM said he will take care of it as it should have been seen from get go.

BZ4X?

Let them have it back and get something better.

I agree with IAC. Use this as an opportunity to dump the BRZ and get something better. Your deal is not great for an EV with limited range. I thought some of these deals were below $200 a month, but that might have been awhile ago.
