A good time to lease a VW Tiguan?

Has anyone had any luck leasing a 2016 VW Tiguan? LH posted a very good article on the Passat and it looks like a lot of the same incentives apply to the Tiguan. I don’t think the Tiguan is a good purchase but in this climate some deals could be had.

The best deal I’ve found is the VW sign and drive + lease conquest on a slightly up-model Tiguan SE AWD:

$300/mo for 36/mo and 10k miles per year
$305/mo for 36/mo and 12k miles per year

Both deals have nothing down and no security deposit. Tax included in the price (CO).

On a $33k MSRP a $300 payment looks to be a 9 year lease hacker score but I think a better deal can be had. Any ideas?

Yes, 2016 Tiguan is a great lease. The S has the best program:

10,000 mi/year residual, MF
S: 63%, .00001
R-Line: 59%, .00001
SE: 59%, .00001
SEL: 57%, .00001
Same for FWD and 4MOTION

What’s the selling price on those quotes? And does it include $1,500 bonus for non-VW owners? TrueCar is telling me $3,244 off MSRP (before incentives) for a Tiguan SE 4MOTION with a Denver zip code.

Hello! I’m up against a similar deal right now in Chicago, IL. Did you ever go through with this?

Very surprising you were able to secure that deal. I just signed on a 2016 VW TIguan RLine 4motion in pearl white for 12k miles per year $306/month sign and drive no payments for 45 days and only 35 total payments. My car has a lower MSRP than yours though. It included the $1500 conquest cash, $1500 lease cash, and $400 Costco discount.

I don’t know if this is a good deal or not - but I got offered :

$230 a month on a Tiguan S. all taxes and fees, registration, etc. rolled into the monthly payment for 36 months, 10k miles a year. They will also be paying my $600 Mercedes Benz disposition fee. Is that a good deal?

I haven’t checked VW latest lease programs, but using January numbers, that would be considered an excellent deal!

is that for the 4motion?

4motion adds approximately $2k to the MSRP of any non 4motion tig. You should figure about $38-42/month extra on the monthly payment.

No. That is just for the Tiguan S.

just signed the papers today - 249 per month for 36 months 0 down payment and only first month payment and dmv title fees due at signing.

tiguan s 4motion 2016

question: is this a good deal? the residual was 61% - i see 62% above, is the dealer making money on the residual or is that set by VW

this includes 1000 president cash and 500 loyalty.

once the papers are signed and i made the first month payment as deposit, can the price still be negotiated? the dealer is still looking for the color i want as they dont have the car in stock.

How many miles? That’s important to know.

10,000 miles 36 months

Hi Michael,

Can you please provide me with the current February 2016 numbers for the Tiguan S 4motion.

Current February program for 2016 Tiguan S 4MOTION:

36/10K residual: 62%
MF: .00001

I don’t think you’ve signed the lease contract yet, since the dealer hasn’t identified an actual car. In that case, the price can still change.

I’d ask the dealer to double check on the residual. They might have given you the quote for 12,000 miles per year.

picking the car up tomm. $249 per month – $400 due at signing (DMV title). lease price = 25806 // MSRP 28,000 // that’s after $1500 incentive (loyal and president)

what you guys think of this lease? did I do good?

How did you reach that figure? Is it something specific to your local market where 4Motion’s go for a smaller discount vs FWD Tiguans?

Otherwise the difference is much less, assuming the same discount on the sales price:

Quick Calc using Inputs: 63% residual for 36 months; .00001 MF; and TTL and acq fee paid up front.

FWD: $30K MSRP, $27K sales price, 10% discount = $246/month
AWD: $32K MSRP, $28.8K sales price, i.e. same discount = $262/month

not sure – taxes, dealer fees, destrination fee is all built into the lease payment. all i have to pay is the dmv fee at signing.

Lease Price =25,806 for 2016 tiguan s 4motion with MSRP of 28,000

I’m still figuring out the format here…I was replying to @jhoffy22 when he said:

“4motion adds approximately $2k to the MSRP of any non 4motion tig. You should figure about $38-42/month extra on the monthly payment.”

anyone happens to know what are the March incentives // MF // and Residual for 2016 Tiguan S 4Motion? *thanks!

Manufacturers don’t release the programs until the month of.
