$7500 tax rebate and lease through Chrysler/FCA

I am about to sign a lease before I do I wanted to know how does it work with the $7500 tax rebate when leasing a jeep through Chrysler/FCA? Does the $7500 federal tax rebate go into the cash down section of the lease or does it reduce the cap cost that is entered into the lease? Exactly what line item in the leasing screen does the $7500 get applied to? Thanks very much.

It applies as rebate or noncash credit as a cap cost reduction dollar.

There’s a line called REBATES on the form and you should see the 7500 there (Plus any other incentives)

@OceanView BTW did you get it at @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto ? He had a smoking deal for a Pacifica Hybrid last week.

Just curious, is this rebate taxed? Does it depend on the state?

Also which cars does this apply to? Want a 5 seater but not a wrangler

If it’s taxed or not depends on the state. In the majority of states it is taxed.

Currently, CCAP passes it on on the pacifica phev and the wrangler 4xe, but those are also the only applicable vehicles on the market right now.

If you want a 5 seater that isn’t a wrangler, the grand cherokee 4xe is the next to enter the market. Probably followed by the alfa tonale and possibly a 4xe variant of the jeep compass and renegade (not entirely sure when they’re scheduled to come to the states, but they’ve been seen testing here). There’s no guarantee that it’ll be passed on on any of those, but given CCAP’s track record, they probably will.
