Couldn’t it be that it was debadged for aesthetics and then put on in the wrong location? Because the portion where it should be isn’t damaged so I don’t know why it wouldn’t be able to go there
Who would debadge it while it’s a loaner? No customer or dealer would, it wouldn’t make sense and takes quite a bit of work to remove residue. Someone probably put a bad scratch or ding on the boot and it had to be resprayed (and debadged), but afterwards they put the badge in the wrong place.
It’s a really minor thing and it’s probably good that it wasn’t reported so it won’t affect the value if you end up keeping it, or if you lease swap it.

Guess so. At the end of the day I really don’t care much as I have a full warranty of course and it’s not my problem after 3 years… I still think I got a great deal
