3rd Party Leasing Companies

Just curious here, does anyone have experience with 3rd party leasing companies? Here in the DFW area we have several that regularly advertise on local radio. D&M leasing, Smart auto leasing, Autoflex leasing, etc. Having done two leases in the last 12 months through dealerships, I’m just curious how the process and deals would stack up between one of these leasing companies versus a dealership.

I have done it only once and locally, so can’t claim to be an expert  I think it goes back to service and value including your own. When buying directly from the dealer, I suspect it will almost always be cheaper, but will require a lot more leg/phone/email-work. Some leasing companies offer a set price for any deal, some don’t, some offer free delivery, some don’t. You just have to look at their performance (reviews?) and what they have to offer. On a large ticket item, I suspect it could be well worth it to deal with them rather than the dealer, on a small fish maybe not so much. Again, this is just thoughts, not the experience speaking.
