25 Kia Sorento Hybrid SX Lease

, , ,

I’m interested in a new Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige. I had considered waiting for the 2026 model, but since I’m not sure when those hybrids will actually reach dealerships, I’ve been looking at the 2025s instead. From what I can tell, they all come pretty well equipped, and the only real customization options seem to be things like floor mats, everything else seems to be set by the trim level.

I don’t have any trades since I already sold my car privately. I’ve also told every dealer that I want $0 down outside of the first payment. (Is that standard practice?)

For leasing, I’m looking at a 24 month term with 12,000 miles per year. So far, local dealers have quoted me anywhere from $750 per month down to about $650 per month.

Is the Sorento worth it? Are there better manufacturers out there? I’ve test driven just about every three row SUV, and from what I can tell the Sorento seems to offer the best bang for the buck.

What are your thoughts, does that seem high for a Sorento lease?

At $650/month, you’re paying $15,600 for two years of usage. Ask for a breakdown of charges and by all means, pay to be superuser so you can access the financial calculator.

The Kia Sorrento actually has pretty poor residual value, IMHO. One thing the expert hackers have taught me, on a lease residual is more important than price. This is why Toyotas lease much cheaper than a Kia. The Sorrento Hybrid loses over 35% of it’s value in two years. I bet you can get a better deal on a Grand Highlander Hybrid or most Jeeps

Have you looked at the Marketplace or looked for other data to create a target deal?

Toyotas often don’t lease particularly well.

What GH Hybrid deals have you seen that supports this?

The Toyota Highlander is very difficult to come by in a good spec.

As for looking on the marketplace I did but didn’t see anything in the midwest for Kia.

It looks like PHEV may be the better route… new numbers come out tomorrow I believe so you can see either with LH Ratefinder or 2025 Kia Sorento Lease Deals, Incentives, Rebates, and Prices - Page 14 — Car Forums at Edmunds.com

Try to target a number that you are comfortable with; $650-$750 is a lot for a KIA.

It is if you buy it and own for 4+ years.

The lease numbers should be a hard pass
