Which is why I was wondering why the OP was even asking the question, TBH (no offense, OP).
The 4xe platform with the higher weight and lower center of gravity actually feels better on long drives than the gas wranglers. I never found the ride particulsrly uncomfortable in my wrangler, however, it definitely isnt the most stable vehicle on the highway. It gets blown around a lot and requires a little more active input into steering.
My wife drove one of the Rubicons we bought 3 hours back home and I was afraid she would hate it. She didn’t, she loved it but think it was the purple reign she loved more!
My 87 wrangler was a rough ride, but I still miss it!
Really comes down to tires. Drove a rental sahara while back to Key West and it was ok. Wind noise is there for obvious reasons. Anything over 70mph is meh.
It really depends on your hip problem.
