$5 grand plus MSDS?! A lot towards cap cost…

Basically 9k upfront

Check the market there’s been like 3-4 m sport 5 series posted by brokers; they won’t have you putting so much down.

A discount can look “aggressive” purely because of the MF or your Cap cost reduction from your down payment. Which in your case the MF is a little marked up but that explains the >10% discount.

What’s the 3k excess down payment towards cap cost for?

Recommend $0 down + Drive offs?

Check with Bmw brokers on here.

Down payments gone if you totaled your car. Did you look at broker ads on this site? Most offer buy rate MF. Did you go through leasing 101?

How do you figure?

.00047 post MSDs is .00082 pre-msds. There’s no markup there.

If the deal is as posted, it’s plenty reasonable, just structured poorly with the high upfront. That can be easily adjusted though.

With that said, it doesn’t seem to calculate out anywhere near correctly, with those inputs, so there are some numbers likely incorrect here.

I must be looking at the wrong calculator or it’s entered wrong.

It showed 0.00110 when I opened it?

That being said the high down payment should only be first fees

I noticed the calculator was slightly off due to MSD, I would recommend you go based off of the numbers posted.

The posted numbers don’t match the posted payment. A small discrepancy is no big deal. A big discrepancy means your information isn’t correct. If you want to evaluate the deal, you need the correct information.

Yeah MSD on calculator showing .00065 when on the dealers structure its showing 0.00047.

That’s because you input the incorrect pre-MSD mf.

Ahh ok I see lol, anyways I will probably just reach out to a broker anyways to see what they can get me.

Hey guys,

Just curious to see what would be a target number for percentage off of MSRP when it comes to the 2021 530i and 540i M Sport.

I am in the market for one or the other but not 100% sure what I should be looking for or shooting for when it comes down to the % off of MSRP.

Any help from other hackers or people who just recently bought one would be much appreciated.

Here are the actual numbers with the updated calculator adjustments.

Updated calculator looks correct. A discount of 10.3% off MSRP and buy-rate MF is pretty solid.

Not a cheap lease, but it is what it is for a facelift non-loaner 5-series it seems. If you qualified for loyalty, PenFed, and BMW CCA, then it would be a little bit less.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Can you break down the msd. Is that more money I have to put down out of pocket?

Multiple Security Deposits are refundable payments out down up front to buy down the money factor. You get the security deposit back at the end, so while it is more money up front, it (often significantly) reduces your total lease cost, often to the tune of several thousand dollars.

So you would get that money back at the end of lease?

Correct. MSDs come back.
