The back is not that bad. The front, they should just remove the light stripe in the middle and raise the faux grill higher.

I’d drive it, against the grain on this one. The taillights look like a group of nuclear hazard warnings, but whatever. This will be low production and prob as hackable as the GT53 is now.

yeah if they put the gullwing on that new GT design I think we’d all overlook the front and rear styling.
Just wanted to come back here and say that while I thought this was not as appealing. It’s way better than the new Ferrari EV. The Luce.

I hope to God nobody buys this. My AMG EQS lease is up the end of this year and I want this AMG GT EV! I pray I can steal it like the AMG EQS. Almost as quick as a Plaid, but the ride quality of an AMG Merc? Yes!
Do most of them ride well? I thought they were known for riding more stiffly than the competition (perhaps EQS and S-Classes aside).

Not sure how this AMG GT will ride. I haven’t had a car ride as quiet and smooth as my AMG EQS, but I’d imagine the GT would be similar, but on the stiffer and sportier side.
Normally I’d be pissed that Mercedes is using my OTA updates to blatantly advertise, but I will give them a pass on this:
Might be a tuned differently for the sedan market, but ~5 years ago I ultimately couldn’t talk myself into a GT S Coupe for a daily driver because it was the opposite of what you’d want to drive to the grocery store, or to Mom’s house for chicken dinner. Much worse than a 911. Possibly my favorite test drive of all time, though.

Thank you for this info. The ride quality is very important to me; even more so than the 0 to 60 times. I actually had to get rid of my Plaid after only a year because I just could not take the horrible jolting ride any longer. I will definitely test drive one of these AMG GT’s before buying it. I wish I had done that before buying the Plaid, but it wasn’t an option at the time.

As a grocery getter / only car? Yeah, I’ve tried twice and couldn’t talk myself into one. Took the checkbook with me to both test drive appointments, just didn’t want either one.
