HI everyone. Wanted to your guys thoughts on this 2026 Volvo XC90?? Would love some feedback :folded_hands:

$53,677.67 (14% off MSRP) - 39mo @ 10k miles

Residual 57% - Money Factor .00159 - Trade in $6.4k (selling my 2017 X3 @86k miles)

Not sure we want to put some MSDs on it.

Discount is good, but I have no idea if they’re under pricing your trade. If MF is at buy rate it seems like a good vehicle to move on. The MF is low enough where I wouldn’t worry about MSDs.

Please double check value of your trade with Carmax carvana driveway.com and some other reputable online dealers. Not following used car market but $6.4k for 9 year old X3 is suspicious.

Calculator link says $536 with tax, effective $664. Curious where the $615 comes from?

@ugfish thanks for the rec. The trade in value offered was the same as carvana and carmax, which is that $6,400. Seemed low to me too…

Thanks. I was looking at the phev xc90 and for demos I was getting about 20% off msrp but those had a lot more miles on them. I think you could get a few more percent off though imo

I confirmed that you are getting buy rate MF, but I think you are leaving money on the table with your trade. As much as a private sale sucks, you are missing out on +$5k. Unless your car has some nasty history or something, you should be able to sell it for $10-12k all day as the cheapest options on Carvana are $16k+

14% should be your target discount, even without the trade factored in. If we back out the $5k your discount is closer to 6% which is below where I’d want a ‘26 XC90 to be discounted.

wait for May on Volvo

For much more you can sell it privately if Carmax is selling for $16k similar units.

And OP should open Costco membership by end of Thursday if Volvo is the car they want.

@Zenek Interesting… Thanks for sending. So my good friend who’s owns a few garages recommended I sell my X3 before the 90k miles are hit as there will likely be $10,000+ of repairs/maintenance needed. I take it thats why Carmax/Carvana are pricing it so low?

I’ll take a look at selling it vs trade-in to see if I can get a better deal

Good to know! I have a membership and will request OP

@ugfish we got a quote today for $9k from CarGuru but the car still needs ~$4-5k+ of repairs at least, so that’s why the resale value is closer to $16k on carvana

@aronchi What’s happening in may? Memorial Day sales?

TBH if i would be in your shoes the car would gone from my driveway 10k miles ago.

Sell private party

For 5k I’ll buy your X3.

May incentives for Volvo are 2K. Thats a good one. I think the largest for gas cars in a while.
