2026 Subaru Outback spy pics

I totally don’t get this change at all. Is the Ascent going bye-bye?

Someone confirmed on a reddit thread that this matches the car that was previewed for dealers.

Can’t wait for them to slap that dogshit CVT in this!

That cvt is so horrible - I purchased the Outback wilderness- great car other than the touchscreen and cvt

Sold it a few months later lol

Since the death of their 6cyl and 5AT, every other word in every other Subaru review was extraneous. :face_with_monocle: No notes. :kissing_heart::ok_hand:t2:

My 22 Outback is somewhere disappointing its new owner.

Def not lolll - an eqs will do better lol

You were trying to pull moms, admit it.

WTF is going on w/ that interior??? I know there’s trim bits missing, but…

Edit: at least there appear to be physical HVAC controls (I’m using they’re for HVAC).

I really hate all these new display types. I had the displeasure of renting a new Santa Fe and the gauge cluster was illegible even at the brightest setting.

I get the desire to cut costs, but I would rather have a Tesla with no gauge cluster than something that can’t be seen during the daytime.

“trendy split-headlight look up front” I hate that this has become a thing. Split DRL LED bars separated by body time from the headlight housing never look good to me.

That’s the current Outback interior with new screens being tested. I’m sure the door cards, center console, etc. will look entirely different.

I was more hoping there’s be a cowl or something over the screens (which might help the illegibility/glare issue @holeydonut mentioned)…

I don’t know enough about car development. When they’re already testing something beyond a mule, so they keep so much from the previous car that isn’t actually going to go into the new car?

Definitely share your hope that there is some glare protection. We will see, likely soon!
