2026 Range Rover Velar - Retired Loaner

Been in talks with the dealer on a retired loaner with 6500 miles on 2026 velar with a MSRP close to $70,000. Dealer willing to reduce upto $51,500 discount upto 26% before any ST and Reg. What do you advise? I’m trying to get at least 30% discount before ST and Reg..

Not judging the deal itself, but would you give up the car due to a 2k gap?

Since you are in TX ask for a sales tax credit dealer might be more willing to compromise on those than deeper upfront discount

No, I probably wouldn’t walk away over $2k gap. But not sure what would would be right price on this model.

I’m not leasing. So don’t know if tax credits will be applied for a sale.

Would it make more sense to lease if you’re getting that much discount? Might be smarter, Velars depreciate pretty hard and the new body style is coming soon. Or if set on buying, maybe a slightly older CPO car would make sense just to get some more depreciation out of the way. JLR CPO warranties are really good in my experience. My old RRS had a LR badge that was fading and they replaced it under warranty lol.

Thank you, I checked on it. The MF was 0.00479 and Residual was 51%. The monthly numbers were off the roof. this particular one will get the CPO warranty covered all the way to End of 2030 with unlimited miles.

Loaners are on different programs
