Pretty new here and been lurking trying to find some tips. Been in the search for a new truck that can fit the family and kids comfortably and came across the Ram 1500s. I really like them so inquired with a dealership. After some back and forth we came to the attached quote. Curious what you all think.
it’s a 2026 Ram 1500 Big Horn Night Edition.
according to Sales Manager the Resistall is pre installed and he said we work it more of a discount and get close to $470 $0 due at signing / drive off.
I didn’t know how to use the calculator for this unfortunately.
At first I was wondering this too. I thought I seen another post mentioning something similar and they said it was just how the numbers auto populate. So I’m assuming it’s like an auto-populated thing because the balance due is $0. In our emails I mentioned specifically $0 due at signing / drive off.
I’m neither. The $8k due at delivery is null. It’s just numbers that don’t matter per the rep. $0 due at signing . All Blk night edition, Big Horn / Long Horn , Crew Cab , 5’7.
I would ask more questions and break down the process so you understand what’s being done. Once you have that, plug the numbers into the calculator. I love seeing “Market Value” on these sheets instead of MSRP and the inflated discount associated with it. Also, get that to know your true dealer discount.
They actually do have a 2025 Laramie that seems it’s been on the lot for sometime.
I mentioned the resistall and he said it’s pre-installed but baked into the discounts. I feel like they are trying to give me an ok deal while making sure they do good as well. But I guess that’s most dealers lol
The engine is the Hurricane Turbo engine.
What should be saying or mentioning when I’m trying to get the to bring down the price or negotiate. Basically since I’m new and there aren’t a lot of other leases on big horns I can find, it’s hard to know what to compare to or go off of.
Is there any website you recommend that can give me an idea of any and all incentives I would qualify or should be asking for? And kind of what I should be paying.
This is because it’s not a great lease program. You can start with this PND and it’s calculator.
The deal sheet you’ve shared makes it hard to understand the dealer discount, which is the only thing you can really negotiate. I suspect the $14K discount includes the $6500 rebate and the discount is actually $7500 or about 12% off MSRP. That already is solid as most dealers I know are around 10%. But if they are then clawing back $1K in add-ons, that brings it back to 10% and average.
You can sign up for super supporter here, or use a broker calculator like Autoninjas.
Dude honestly thank you a bunch. You’re one of the first people to actually respond to me asking for advice and actually give advice. So I really appreciate it.
i think you hit the nail on the head regarding the discount. I def think I could talk them into a better deal but also that something under $500 isn’t too bad for a truck like this.
I’ll look into becoming a supporter most likely because my wife wants to lease a new car soon. Hopefully we can get her something good and reliable at nice price. =]
