2026 RAM 1500 Laramie Lease Search - Need Help

Hello Expert Hackers -

I live in Idaho and have been hunting for a lease deal on a 2026 RAM 1500 Laramie. I’m not locked in on a “must have” spec, but what I’d most like to have is this model with the Level 2 Equipment and Night edition packages. Also want the Hurricane v-6 engine, not the hemi. Colors aren’t critical, but my favorites are black, red/burgundy, and silver.

I’ve looked at dealers both in Boise (where I live) and nationwide. The packages, prices, and discounts vary widely. Also, the pricing that is usually advertised is (the dealers tell me) for purchases and not leases. I’ve been looking at some local models that have been sitting on the lots here since last Sept/Oct. For example, this one, which has more options than I want, just showing it because it’s local: (https://www.lhmdodgeboise.com/new-inventory/index.htm?trim=Laramie&gvBodyStyle=Truck&model=1500&engine=I6%20Hurricane%20SO%20Twin%20Turbo%20ESS) was priced below $65k in March, now it’s almost $70k in April. Just sitting there getting older. I’ve also been talking with Dave Smith Motors up in northern Idaho. They’re a lot harder to get specific information from. They keep telling me to order one, but that’s a three month minimum wait.

I would sincerely appreciate any help that expert hackrs would be willing to give me. I can buy locally, regionally, or nationwide. How would you guys look for the best deal on this specific RAM? What do you think the elements should be for a good/great deal?

There has been increased demand for this truck recently which has driven price up, so it’s not a surprise to see dealers start to pull back on discounts. None the less, for leasing you want to target at least a 10% dealer discount before incentives. We’ve seen some bigger discounts recently on demo units with a few thousand miles. Make sure you’ve researched all the conditional incentives including lease cash, loyalty, affilaite and website TDM. The best deal stacks all of these.

I see you saying you’re not looking for a specific spec, but Night+Level2 is pretty specific and is going to come only with higher MSRP units. Consider Sport+Level1 if you want to get into the lower payment range. With the surge in demand, expect most dealers to play the “I know what I have game” – would not be surprised if many are at MSRP, or just offer standard affiliate pricing. CDJR dealers rarely advertise pricing clearly, but a good dealer to start with is Mark Dodge to get a price target to beat.

You can also look to some of the deals offered by brokers in our marketplace here. Here is one deal (from last month) where calculators are shared, which is useful to see a true pricing breakdown.

That’s really helpful information! I am looking at all the different research threads that you offered. You’re right that the demand for the hemi-engine versions were really up in the first quarter of the year.

Gas isn’t getting cheaper anytime soon, I’d be shocked if the deals on full size trucks don’t get better as gas prices continue climbing.

RAM’s strategy with the Hurricane may start paying off after all.

Ram 1500 light-duty trucks had their best sales quarter since 2022. The Ram HD pickup trucks had their best sales quarter since 2021.

Well you are in luck, you have chosen the right model as the Hemi is only available on trims higher than the Larimie. unless you want the relatively optionless warlcok.

I second the option of going with the sport trim.

I thought you have a lot of the Volume discount dealers out there

Like Dennis Dillion, Dave Smith and Peterson’s.

so you should find something there.

In Boise, about 40 days ago, gas was $2.42/gallon. Now it’s $4.64 a gallon… Don’t even want to think about Californina, Illinois, or the east coast..

It’s interesting to see Ford take a big hit. I’m in the last month of a lease on a 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat. When I started shopping the 2026 Ford Lariats, there so little difference in the look, feel, performance, and tech of the new models that I legitimately couldn’t figure out what was different. At least the price was 9% higher for the 2026 - that much was clear.

See Ford take a massive hit in volume sales isn’t surprising to me in the least.

You live in Idaho. Start with the Dave Smith and Dennis Dillon dealerships.

Do you have an opinion on either of them? It seems like Dave Smith is more customer oriented, but they are considerably further away!

I have only attempted deals with both of them from California on Ram trucks but ultimately was able to score a deal at the same price or better closer to home.

Each time they were both very helpful.

I would go on the 2 larger Ram 1500 forums where they talk prices and deals for the latest info and suggestions about the Smith and Dillon dealerships.

Hello Hackrs!

I’m working on a deal for a RAM truck. Lease is 36/10

What do you think? Are these numbers looking good or do I need to keep working? The dealer is resisting hard on disclosing the money factor or what’s going into the discounts, rebates, etc. I have top-tier (800) so I should be getting the best financing that Stellantis has to offer.

My trusty AI companion is telling me that this deal is ok but not one on which to immediately pull the trigger. Please give me your wisdom!

@holeydonut is our resident Stellantis expert.

It’s really hard to ascertain with these deals what is dealer contribution and what is manufacturer rebate. And a lot of the times the dealer doesn’t even understand their own leases. That being said the overall discount seems a little weak to me based on what I’ve seen possible.

That makes sense to me. What would think the right discount would be in this particular deal? I know for one thing that they advertise on the website another $2k in discount that they don’t apply to this deal because “lease”.

Definitely not me. @GeminiRam seems to have a solid relationship with a dealer and can get incentives by VIN out of dealerconnect.

RateFindr is a disaster for incentives and rebates since CDJR messes things up so much by trim and regional business center.

Do you know what rebates you qualify for with Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) lease?
I’m assuming the 15% off MSRP is discount + rebate. You need a breakdown so it benefits you.
How is this lease # compared to some brokers in your region? That’s the benchmark. If your #s can’t beat it, then go with the broker. Also, dealers are more willing to give you a better deal closer to the end of the month/quarter.

With Big 3, it’s always a shell game.

Only thing that matters on dealer websites is the dealer discount, if it’s broken down. What you need to do is find units that have been sitting on the lot of 90+ days. Those usually have additional manufacturer incentives. All the other “discounts” are nonsense and nobody ever qualifies for them. Unless you’re a left handed recent college grad in the military who works at a Chsyler plant, then take off another $1000.
