2026 Mercedes CLA (+/- EQ Technology)

I think this is… fine.

I’d like to see the other interior trim options (besides silver and rose-gold metal) for the center console b/c that much uninterrupted metal trim looks a bit cheap and rather uncomfortable for arms.

They should integrate the headlight with that ‘grill’.

This seems kind of a like a huge problem (but I don’t know anything about EVs and charging):

So they use NACS, yet not compatible with most tesla supercharger here, sounds like a big problem indeed.

350 miles of range on their entry level CLA EV?
That sounds too good to be true when the EQE gets a measly 260 now.
Starting to feel like the EQ line was just to test the EV market and not actual serious EVs.

Maybe. I think MB’s first attempts at most things is pretty bad (SLK, ML, brake by wire…), so it’s sort of par for the course…

Not clear if the first deliveries will get a retroactive fix?

Eh? EQS takes up two of the top 4 spots in this test of real world 75 MPH range. And one of the EVs ahead of them needs a massive 200+ KwH pack to get a few more miles.

Yeah my comment was based purely on EPA ratings but after having my EQE 350 4 matic sedan for a week I’m finding that the EQE and EQS actually punch above their EPA ratings regularly. That seems to be the case for many people on the EQ subreddit. 1 user reported 319 miles of range on 80% charge from a EQE 350+ and another 450 on EQS 450+ which is above their EPA ratings. I myself am on track for 324 miles based on my 268 Wh/mi current average so far. So maybe a rwd CLA EV can achieve 350 miles on a 85 kWh battery pack and it’s not so far fetched after all.
