I liked mine but it’s not worth almost double a 330. I’d step up to something nicer or just save your money. Value proposition is no longer there on this one unfortunately.

Well it’s a 70.5k MSRP car. What would you suggest? I managed to lower the deal for 780 monthly + 5600 (MSD) DAS.

If this is the car you want and are sold on leasing it, just got for it. Probably won’t get better in the months to come. If anything, push for a little more discount if possible.

All my work for nothing. Now I know how brokers feel.

So BMW of Manhattan offered 787 monthly and 1352 (DAS). Not sure if that’s good or not. I’d need to lookup the MF and RV for the 2025s. 8050 off of Msrp. Salesperson told me that they don’t so MSDs in NY. What do you guys think?

Do you have any special cars that you aspire to drive in the future? M3? M5? 911? Something else?

Save your money until you can buy one of those or, less likely but it’s happened before, a really good lease deal comes along.

Poor to mediocre leases on mass produced cars like the one you’re contemplating will just set you back on this journey

Does this include MSDs?

I’m really just dead set on the M340i. I get your point. But I find it a more affordable/fun option right off the bat. Along with great tuning capabilities with the B58. I currently drive a stick shift wrx with minimal mods and I find it really fun to drive even with no tune on it. Just lowering springs. And other cosmetic stuff on it. So this jump will be more than enough for me. Don’t wanna spend an arm and a leg for a car. Even if my income is plenty.

For the 2025 model the dealer said NY cannot apply MSD due to being a NY dealer so it’s 787 monthly and 1352 DAS (monthly payment included).

Pretty sure you’d need to send the DME (?) out for unlock to tune these if 2020+ if looking to do a full tune. May also void warranty.

I had this car for 5 years and absolutely loved it, just not sure I could stomach almost 800 for it though. I know that’s the current times and sub 600 won’t likely be back anytime soon.

If this is the car you want just pull the trigger and enjoy. There’s not many comparable ICE vehicles for less.

I agree with Steve. Go for it!

Allegedly kies has the ability to unlock in house now, but I think that would be the late 2020s to 2024. I think the 2025 and 2026 cannot be unlocked yet they say. Not that I would ever tune a car under warranty

One thing that I would like to add is that if you really want to get this car and are OK to pay the price for it, maybe look into building one through a broker. The M340i does not seem to be a hackable car and if you are already going for a 2026, why not build it to your specs, experience the Performance Center Delivery which by the way is amazing.
I was in a similar boat with the M550 back in 2021 where that vehicle was not truly hackable and the difference between in stock and custom 2022 was a little more than $50 per month. I knew that I wanted that car and may end up keeping it longer. So glad with my choice as leased for 3 years and ended up buying it out. 4 years plus and still drives like a brand new car.

I think I read they charge like $1800, but if it messes with warranty, no thanks.

Agree with this 100%.

@Fireblade950 just for shits I built a lease vs finance calculator for your deal. Take and look and note the differences for effective payments. And also compare leasing then buying at residual.

I admire your ability to ignore this advice.

You know what’s funny. I saw an instagram reel about that they can unlock it in Jersey now. Which is pretty convenient for me, distance wise.

I was on the fence on buying a used one with low miles but I don’t know how reliable those N55s are.
