The new styling is horrible IMO, no longer that understated luxury. Screams Kia or Hyundai.

The new styling borrows too much from the current camry. The previous one looks much better than this one.

There is nothing that says, “luxury” about this design. Inside or out. Except for maybe the door panel trim/design. It looks no different than what you’d see on the Toyota lot.

Exterior looks like the electric Toyota that it is. Interior looks like every other “luxury” EV garbage

New Lexus looks cheap, especially the front end

Range and power are terrible for an EV too

Lol I was thinking why is there a picture of a camry in this lexus article

But these numbers mean little in isolation. Hardly anyone will actually buy them so let’s see what the lease payments are and whether they are underpriced or over.

Besides, cheap “slow” EVs don’t feel massively underpowered the way cheap and actually slow ICEVs do.

Good lord

8.9s dammmn. My old 2021 UX200 did just that with the 2.0l.

This gives me Crown vibes from that screenshot.

A long time ago on a roadtrip from Atlanta to Memphis, around 1:00 a.m., we were the only customers at a truck stop in Mississippi, where I watched two cashiers behind the counter looking at a newspaper, trying to help each other pronounce the word “sesquicentennial.”

The ES must be roughly as exciting to drive.

There is absolutely nothing compelling about this car.

Not sure who at Lexus is responsible for the new designs, but they might need to have their eyes checked—especially with the new front ends on the ES, IS, RX, and TX.

Has Lexus hired ex BMW designers? For the most part, BMW’s design language has gone down the toilet lately. Seems like someone at Lexus is hell bent on ruining the brand. They’ve gone from one extreme to the other. When Lexus was first introduced, they had nice vehicles, then they got beyond BLAND. Now they’ve become…I don’t even know what to call it. The last good looking sedan Lexus did was the last generation GS. I had a ‘15 GS350 FSport and I got complements on that car all the time. Got a very good one pay lease on it also

Sales might follow the Crown too the way the ES is getting roasted. To be seen if Lexus might have unintentionally killed the model.

Holy Crap ! They literally Fudged this one up bad !
Why are the transforming all the sedans to like a new crossover type vehicle ?

This should be the new ES.

My cheap, slow EV (RZ 300e) is better than just about any ice vehicle I’ve driven. It only becomes apparent as it wheezes out past 60 mph.

The article is dumb, all new cars in China are required to have mechanical door handles, no taycan style or EQS/S class style pop-out door handles on domestic or foreign imports.

BMW’s style on the I4/i5/i7/iX are kosher, but there are rules on the depth they’ll need to be.
