I just returned my Equinox EV last weekend and need something pretty soon. I had pretty much decided I am getting an EV but with the current market that has changed. I have decided I want the best deal I can get, and I will just look again towards the end of this use.
I found a GLE 350 loaner with 8xxx miles on it, 72xxx MSRP.
The deal I was able to negotiate is $434/mo, first month DAS, 10k/24.
I know it’s a good deal on paper but I am wondering if it would be worth looking more for similar deals on “high” mile loaners or if I should just take this and run.
Honestly I don’t actually care about most of the additions except for the driver assistance package, I really wish this had it. I have reached out to a lot of dealers including after getting this and nobody will match or even get close. I am going to try a few more in the morning and then probably proceed with this one if nothing.
Is there really a better deal to be had, reasonably speaking? Backing into the payment OP is around a 22% discount before the 4k dealer cash. He’s already beating all recently posted deals I’ve seen.
Have them double check that and challenge them. The onepay reduces the MF by .0006. If your deal is truly $434 with $434 DAS, your onepay should be roughly $9,012, which is a significant savings and an effective payment of $375 which is absolutely killer. If you’d prefer not to put all of that up front, a full 10 MSDs will reduce your money factor by almost the same amount, at .0005. Using full MSDs should drop your monthly to ~$379 while only needing to put up $4,500 for the MSDs.
I agree, I asked them for one-pay at 9k and they said the number they gave is the absolute minimum with no room for anything. I know what it should be but I didn’t want to push back too much. I may go for the MSDs depending. Thanks!
You are guessing here without calculator and the deal sheet. I don’t question the deal, but just saying that it would make more sense to get higher optioned car vs. base for a few $$ more. 350 high miles loaners should not be that hard to get for this kind of payments. Also, MSDs always make sense.
Got it, thought you were saying he should expect higher MSRP for same payment. And agreed, a deal sheet/calculator is what is needed for full evaluation. Though the payment is so good it can’t be outside of something that should be taken immediately if OP is happy with the features.
I would do it if you want it . This is the best deal out there . I’m currently negotiating with two dealers for a GLE and I will feel like I win if I pay more than you ; obviously the ones I’m after have a lot more bells and whistles; and my major advantage is that I dont need a car ; I am only hunting for the thrill , if I lease , its because I won .
Honestly though; if you don’t want it and they will lease to someone in Washington state; send me the contact and I will take it!
